Fall Home Decor Tour

Ever since coming home and living with Johnny, I feel like every season is fresh and new! Before, I would do a little here and there for each holiday, with the exception of Christmas since I always had a tree. Now, I want to go all out on almost every holiday! The end of the year can get expensive for anyone, so I wanted to make sure whatever I buy as far as decor is something I can use for years to come. I’m not the biggest fan of Halloween but I do love fall, so I’m excited to bring you along on a fall home decor tour.

Sleep Secrets: Why We Love Our Leesa Mattress

I truly believe sleep is a necessity. It’s not a luxury and my productivity and success depend on it. One of our biggest sleep secrets? Invest in your bed and your bedroom. We spend so much time sleeping, why are we skimping on this vital time for our body and brain to recharge, recover and reset? I sleep about nine hours a night and it’s the secret to my success. Many people have asked, “but don’t you lose working time during the day?” The answer is no because by sleeping nine hours a night, I’m so much for effective during the day. When I don’t get enough sleep, I’m tired, I’m slow and I end up losing even more time during the day by taking naps or just not being focused.

Comfy Fall Outfit for Relaxing at Home

Hello Everyone! October is officially here and I’m so excited to share a comfy fall outfit for relaxing at home. While the weather isn’t exactly crisp per se, there’s nothing wrong with a pair of comfy pajamas and cozy slippers. Slowly but surely, I’m incorporating more fall decor into my apartment and it’s nice to match with my pajamas! Not going to lie, I’m a bit of a collector. I love, love pajamas, especially the soft variety! This is my second set from Tommy John and they pleasantly surprise me every time. They are super soft, warm but not too thick and come in cute colors! The long sleeve henley and joggers are my favorite. I’m always cold, so even sleeveless tops or shorts for pajamas make me uncomfortable under the thickest duvet.

Fall Kitchen Decor

September is one of my favorite months of the year. It’s when things finally start transitioning toward fall. The weather gets a little cooler and leaves start changing color. September also marks when I start decorating for fall and whipping out harvest decor. I get our fall decor from a variety of places including HomeGoods and Kirkland’s. Of course, keep your eyes peeled for local businesses, too! Pumpkin patches are not open in the Dallas area yet, so we are waiting to get real pumpkins to add to our decor! Plus, this weekend, Kirkland’s is having a 30% off sale sitewide when you use code “DECORATE” so it’s the perfect time to stock up! I picked up a few pieces from there earlier this week.

Easy, Affordable Table Setting for our Small Dining Room

We are a few months into our completed small dining room and still loving it. While I have nice plates for when family and friends come over, we made a quick decision to use something lighter and more affordable for every day. From afar, this affordable table setting looks more expensive than it is. The colors are nice and with pretty “jewelry” aka our gold flatware, it looks very pulled together. I love being able to mix and match high-end and affordable pieces. Our affordable table setting may cost less than $1 but combined with our custom velvet dining chairs from Interior Define, which is currently doing a 15% off sale, more on that below, and marble dining table everything looks seamless.
