Sanctuary :: My Bedroom Decor with Leesa + west elm

Hi Friends! As y’all may know, I take my sleep very seriously. It’s been almost nine months since I got my Leesa mattress and I’m teaming up with Leesa and west elm to share details of my sanctuary aka my bedroom decor. I’m so in love with how my bedroom looks and it makes me feel at peace and cozy. To me, my bedroom is my sanctuary. It’s my safe place and where I go to unwind, rejuvenate and prepare for the day ahead. I don’t like to do very many things other than sleep in my bedroom. I feel like that helps me with a good night’s sleep. Plus, having a mattress that allows my body to get the rest it needs while bedding and decor make it all beautiful is icing on the cake.

Roots Planted in Dallas with a Custom Map Poster

This console is the first thing you’ll see upon walking into my apartment. Whether I’m coming back from a hard day of breaking news or coffee with friends, I enjoy seeing a glimpse of home thanks to my custom map poster. I miss home every day. That’s why I am partnering with Your Own Maps to bring a piece of Dallas to Norfolk. The San Francisco-based startup created my custom map poster and handles the entire printing process.

I am sure most of you treasure and love your Mom the way I do, so I want to share how to plan the perfect Mother’s Day brunch.

Styling the Artful Shelf above my Dress Depository

Hello My Beautiful Friends! Y’all may remember I moved into a bigger apartment. The 250 or so extra square footage really affords me the ability to stretch out and decorate. However, my bigger unit actually has a smaller closet, meaning I would have to get creative. A big portion of my closet is dresses. Since I have so many in different colors, I wanted to feature them on a hanging rack. I call it my dress depository. A trip to a hardware store and Johnny and I had a commercial grade clothing rack. I couldn’t find the one I purchased online, but this one looks sturdy and boasts good reviews. If you’re going to use a clothing rack, I highly recommend commercial grade since it’ll support the weight of your clothes.
