1. It’s Nontoxic & Nonstick

Standard or traditional nonstick with teflon is bad. I think most of us have come to that realization. I came to it after watching a documentary and then seeing the nonstick portion of the skillet I bought from Marshall’s literally melt off into my food. It only takes 2.5 minutes for a traditional non-stick pan on high heat to exceed 500°F and begin releasing forever chemicals. Absolutely not happening in my home. However, I am not quite ready to make the full transition to cooking with only cast iron or stainless steel yet. I want to, but we just aren’t there.

I love a clean home. Clutter makes it hard for me to focus. We love to tuck our house in every night before bed, which means doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen. The easiest part of doing the dishes is our cookware. Everything, from the skillet to the dutch oven cleans so easily. You don’t need to use harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges. While they are dishwasher safe, we usually handwash them since it’s so easy!

3. It’s Oven Safe

Everyone is on a different level and in a different season of life when it comes to cooking. Sometimes we’re in a meal plan phase. Sometimes we are in a make-everything-from-scratch phase. One reason I love Caraway is how they can go into the oven. Yes, this means the handles get hot, but we’re already used to using towels to grab handles anyway. When we cook steaks we love to do a reverse sear and having cookware that can go into the oven is key. We don’t need another pan just to serve one purpose. Also, I use the dutch oven to make bread!
