Fall is officially upon us and cooler weather is here! A few weeks ago, I did a simple fall front porch decor post with plans to keep it that way until Christmas. Well, Johnny wanted more and since it is our first home and our first Fall here, we both decided to step it up a little bit. Adding real pumpkins in neutral colors with a touch of green really took our fall front porch to another level. I really love the look of more neutral fall decor without a lot of orange. Using mostly white pumpkins with a touch of pastel colors and green elevates the look.
Shopping for Pumpkins
Real Pumpkins
Whether you’re getting real or faux pumpkins take into consideration how you plan on grouping them together. Remember, everything looks better in odd numbers. You want to group things in three’s, five’s or seven’s. I love the “enchanted” pumpkins because they are flatter, which makes them perfect for stacking. If you’re local to the Dallas Forth Worth area, I recommend going to Calloway’s! That’s where we got all of our real pumpkins and the hay bale! To stick with the neutral theme, I am using the “fairytale” pumpkin, which has a very light orange hue. I love these! They are so beautiful and I love how they add depth. To finish off the look, I grabbed two big dark green pumpkins and two little ones.
Faux Pumpkins
I love faux pumpkins, especially now that we have a house with storage! They are great for bringing out year after year and they do not go bad. I get white pumpkins and below I’ll share my favorites. They tend to be a bit more expensive, but you won’t have to replenish these each year so you’re saving money in the long run!
This isn’t technically fall front porch decor, but I love putting fall candles in my entryway! There are so many lovely candles for fall and the scents are divine! Here are a few of my favorites.
Casual Fall Outfit
I know many of us are looking for casual fall outfits right now and I am swooning over this cashmere sweater. It’s actually a men’s sweater and I got size XS so no one would be the wiser. Cashmere is my ultimate favorite for fall and winter and I love the colorful stripes on this! I got these button-fly jeans last year and they are still one of my go-to pairs! They do run a bit big, so size down!
