Things are really heating up this summer. It’s triple digits in Texas and I’m honestly trying my best to stay indoors as much as possible. During the summer, I switch up my beauty routine unless I really need full coverage. I prefer to keep it light so my skin can breathe. I’ve been testing a few different CC creams and serums and found one I am loving. The tint is a good match and it doesn’t feel heavy at all. I’m so excited to share my five-minute beauty routine with you. I do this when I want to look put together and chic but not heavy.
After moisturizing, I make a concoction using this CC cream and lumi serum. I mix about a dime-sized amount of each and blend together with my fingertips before applying directly onto my skin. Use a beautyblender to seamlessly blend everything if you need. From here, you can set with powder if you’d like but I skip this step unless I know I’m planning on sweating. This is the bulk of my five-minute beauty routine. I pretty much breeze through the rest of the steps!
Concealer is a must! Don’t skip this step and don’t be afraid of looking like a raccoon. Make sure you pick the right shade, that’s the trick. Don’t go too light. Only a shade or two lighter, no more than that. This one is what I’ve been reaching for the past few weeks. I love the consistency and coverage.
I only use matte bronzers, especially in the summer or when I know I’m going to be photographed. Glitter is not a good mix. This one is my favorite for summer because it’s dark enough but doesn’t look muddy or dirty. I apply right below my cheekbones, on my forehead and jawline.
I have to always fill in my brows. It’s just a thing. If I’m going for a more lightweight makeup look I don’t make them as defined and go a little lighter. I’ve been using this product to fill in my brows for years and it’s never failed me. I use shade Ash Brown.
I always get so many questions about what lip color I’m wearing and I feel like I’m boring y’all because for the past two years it’s basically been the same! I use either this lip liner in shade gossip gurl or this one in pillow talk. I’ve been using the same liquid lipstick for more than three years. For the past two years, child star or cool girl are my go-to’s.
