Johnny and I are so excited to announce we are taking the trip of a lifetime to the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics! Being able to witness a Winter Olympics has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. A five-year-old version of me fell in love with figure skating during a Dallas Galleria Christmas Ice Show. I begged my parents to take me skating, but they didn’t have the money. Plus, they thought my fascination would go away. It didn’t. Three years later, I’m still begging, so my older sister decided to take me. It’s going to sound so cliche, but it was love at first step. I wouldn’t get off the ice. To me, skating feels like flying. A few competitions later, my family and I started to take figure skating very seriously. That is how an 11-year journey starts.

Figure skating is hard. When you watch our incredible Olympic team take the ice in a few short weeks it may not look hard because they make it look effortless. I’ve had more injuries than I can count, but figure skating was my first love. I told myself if I couldn’t go to the Olympics as a member of Team USA, I would go to support them. Now, here we are. I’m so proud of the Team USA Figure Skating Team and I can’t wait to watch them kick ass!

Of course, Johnny and I wouldn’t go to the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics without some patriotic gear. This Team USA long sleeve is the perfect statement piece to show my unwavering dedication. It’s going to be below freezing and I’m not messing around since I hate being cold. Weird for a figure skater, right? These thermal burgundy leggings are cold weather ready, but with a soft lining. They’re warm to the touch and perfect over wool tights. Naturally, they are four-way stretch and wick away sweat. Plus, the ankle zips lock so they don’t jiggle when you move. The North Face is an official Olympic partner, so they have awesome Team USA swag, including these matching e-tip gloves and beanie. Tip: if you have a small head, you can save money by buying the kids beanie for $5 less.

We are currently in the process of collecting more Team USA gear. Our goal is to only pack red, white, blue, gray and black. Let’s see if we can make this work!
