Valentine’s Day Vibes :: Styling a Red Faux Fur Jacket

While Johnny and I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day, I still get excited about it. I enjoy getting in the spirit by wearing plenty of reds and pinks. This red faux fur jacket adds instant glam factor and makes almost every outfit chic. Styling faux fur jackets can be a little difficult. You don’t want to look too over the top, or at least I don’t. To make sure the faux jur jacket is the statement piece, I’m choosing casual pieces everywhere else. A simple pink sweater underneath keeps my body heat close and blocks out the cold. To keep the look more casual, I’m going with gray jeans. These are extremely soft, stretchy and comfortable to wear. Plus, I love the story behind this brand, but more on that in another post. My favorite over the knee boots in light gray makes this outfit cohesive.

Cable Knit Sweater & Paper Bag Mini Skirt

Hey Y’all! This is so crazy there are only a few days left in 2017! I’m so ready for 2018 to arrive and for all the exciting things I have planned. It’s much colder in Dallas than I had anticipated. I’m living in cozy sweaters so I love being able to tuck them into a cute skirt such as this gingham paper bag mini skirt. I love a good gingham piece for fall and winter because you can restyle them so many ways. This gingham paper bag mini skirt would be chic with any color blouse or sweater. Sadly, this skirt sold out. However, this is a super similar version and looks so cute on. The paper bag trend is actually quite chic if you pair it with the right item. I’m wearing size US 2, which fits beautifully. This skirt also comes in leather and suede.

Holiday Ready :: Tartan Vest & Striped Turtleneck

I’m a sucker for festive holiday attire and this tartan vest is no exception! This is the perfect Christmas plaid with hints of green, gold and blue on top of the sea of red. Plus, the navy blue velvet trim really makes this vest pop. What I love about this vest is it’s easy to throw over anything, yet thin enough you can wear it under coats. Whether you pair this with a striped turtleneck like I am here or over a cozy cashmere sweater, you’re sure to look chic. One aspect I love about vests is how warm they truly can be. Keeping your chest and vital organs warm, will keep you warm. This tartan vest is slim and lightweight, but truly really warm with its polyfill. I opt for just this tartan vest over a light sweater if temperatures are going to be warmer than 40 degrees…

Cozy Winter Sweater :: Maroon Fireside Sweater & Leather Leggings

Happy Friday Y’all! I can’t believe it’s 10 days until Christmas! I’m generally a very positive person, so I’m always smiling, but deep down I miss my family so much. One thing I love about winter is cozy sweaters. This maroon fireside sweater is so versatile and can take you anywhere this winter. Whether it’s for a fun holiday date night, to a casual Christmas party, or just hanging out at home by the fireplace with loved ones, this fireside sweater will be perfect. The acrylic and cotton fabric combo make this sweater your go-to cuddle buddy. Plus, it’s extra warm if you layer something cashmere or wool underneath. You probably can tell, but I love wearing reds, greens and golds during the holidays. This maroon fireside sweater is the perfect shade and you can easily restyle it.
