Fuchsia Pop :: The Only Maxi Dress You Need

If I have to choose one word to describe this dress, it would be ethereal. I feel like a Greek goddess in this fuchsia pop maxi dress. While devoid of any beads, sparkles or embellishments, this maxi dress still makes a stunning statement. You are sure to turn heads in this wherever you go. I love the classy high halter neckline. Plus, the super soft chiffon really moves, whether you are in the wind or creating your own when walking. Some of my favorite dresses are simpler, but let the draping and fabric do the talking. The two layers here really make this dress comfortable and easy to wear, yet still adds a little interest. Also, this fuchsia color is truly incredible. It’s the perfect neutral, not too warm or too cool, which means it’ll look great on so many skin tones. Read more…

Spring Must-Have :: Marigold Ruffle Dress & Trench Coat

I’m a big fan of a true sunny yellow shade but this marigold ruffle dress is making me think twice. This is such a flattering color on a variety of skin tones. If you are looking to branch into yellow but are unsure of where to start, I recommend this. The ruffle detailing gives this dress a fun, feminine touch. Also, this fabric feels like a dream on. It’s a slinky weave that feels cool on the skin and doesn’t tug. I’m wearing size P in this ruffle dress and it fits quite well. There is a little bit of extra room in the bust, but it doesn’t bother me too much. The cap sleeves do have a slit in them. However, this is definitely still a very work-appropriate dress. Swap out these block heels for something a little sexier to make this a fun girls night out or date night dress. This marigold number is quite versatile. Read more…

Little Gingham Dress

I miss sunny days in Coastal Virginia including the day I shot this spring look. It’s still one week from officially arriving, but I could use it right now, ha! I love simple pieces you can dress up or down during spring and summer. Similar to my chambray romper, this black and white gingham dress is a piece you can just throw on and head out the door. The surplice neckline has a hook and eye closure, so everything will stay in place. Plus, the straps on this little gingham dress are adjustable, which is great for petite ladies. The ruffle detail is my favorite aspect of this dress. It’s flirty and feminine yet isn’t over the top. I love how it follows the wrap silhouette too. Read more…

The Perfect Chambray Romper for Warmer Weather

Spring is still a few weeks away, officially anyway, but I’m ditching my winter clothes as much as possible. Rompers are some of my favorite pieces for spring and summer. This off the shoulder chambray romper has a few unique details making it unique. The open back is darling, but I love the ruffle on the neckline. Plus, it has pockets, which instantly ups the cool factor on this chambray romper. If you are in a pinch and need something to wear during warmer weather, grab this babe and go. It has a stretch waistband so there are no zippers or buttons to fuss with. Easy on, easy off, which is something I can get behind. This fabric is relatively low maintenance. A quick steam got the wrinkles from shipping out. For sizing reference, I’m wearing size XXS and it fits true to size.  Read more…

Traveling to the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics :: Trip of a Lifetime

Johnny and I are so excited to announce we are taking the trip of a lifetime to the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics! Being able to witness a Winter Olympics has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. A five-year-old version of me fell in love with figure skating during a Dallas Galleria Christmas Ice Show. I begged my parents to take me skating, but they didn’t have the money. Plus, they thought my fascination would go away. It didn’t. Three years later, I’m still begging, so my older sister decided to take me. It’s going to sound so cliche, but it was love at first step. I wouldn’t get off the ice. To me, skating feels like flying. A few competitions later, my family and I started to take figure skating very seriously. That is how an 11-year journey starts… Read more…
