Touches of Gold :: Balloon Sleeve Dress + Block Heel Boots

Happy November 1st! It’s no surprise I love sweater dresses, so I’m acquiring more and more. This River Island balloon sleeve dress comes in the most beautiful gold color. Mostly acrylic, this knit is a medium weight fabric and can keep you warm on crisp days. It’s cozy and soft to the touch, not itchy or uncomfortable. Of course, the balloon sleeves are my favorite detail on this dress. It adds a whimsical touch while being understated. Another detail I love is the inverted seam detailing throughout this balloon sleeve dress. It’s simple but really helps make the dress pop and gives it texture. When I was younger, I hated turtlenecks. I’m not quite sure what it was about them. Needless to say, I have grown out of that. Sometimes, scarves get in the way if it’s super windy, so high necks keep me warm. Read more…

My Tassel Earrings Launch with olive + piper!

Oh my goodness! I’m over the moon excited about this blog post. I got the incredible opportunity to design a pair of earrings with olive + piper, one of my favorite jewelry brands! These are the Saigon Tassel Earrings and they are everything I could ever want in earrings. I named them after the Capital of Vietnam, which my family fled from after the communist party took over following the end of the Vietnam War. To me, being aware of my family’s incredible struggle and sacrifice motivates me to work even harder and to succeed. Plus, Saigon is a stunning city and a beautiful name. Read more…

Pink Crush :: Velvet Skirt & Lace Blouse

This is one of my favorite looks of all time, shot in one of my new favorite cities. I’m mixing together two of my favorite pieces. This pink velvet skirt is something I reach for when I want to feel confident and beautiful. It’s the perfect mix of sexy and sleek while being elegant and chic. The fabric hugs your curves without being too tight. Plus, velvet is on trend this fall, so I have no doubts you’ll be seeing this skirt more. I previously styled it with a gray sweater here. This pink velvet skirt is perfect if you dress it up for date night or out with friends. I’m wearing a size XS and it fits beautifully. For care, I recommend throwing into the washer on the handwash or delicate cycle. Use cold water and to lay flat to dry, too. Read more…

Comfy Tie-Sleeve Sweatshirt for Fall

Happy Monday Y’all! While you’re reading this, I’m most likely in Puerto Rico, doing a story on a local foundation doing disaster relief there. I previously got the chance to fly to Texas with this same foundation when they provided relief to Hurricane Harvey victims. I know Puerto Rico will be a lot different and I’ll be sure to share it with y’all soon!

Sweaters have a really soft spot in my heart. I seem to collect more each season, yet they are all unique and different from one another. This olive tie-sleeve sweatshirt is cropped and super soft. As you may know, cropped silhouettes are great for petite ladies. This one hovers around my belly button and I’m 5’3 with an average torso length. I love the casual feel and slightly oversize look. Plus, you can also wear it off one shoulder, if you like! The fabric is a cozy knit that’s 100 percent cotton, so you know it’s soft. The raw-cut edges are a nice touch, too, especially for fall. Tie-sleeves are really on trend right now and these scream boho chic. This olive tie-sleeve sweatshirt would be great with a cute velvet or corduroy skirt, too. Also, this sweatshirt comes in ivory and blush, so olive isn’t the only color. Read more…
