Happy Monday! For those who dealt with frigid temperatures over the past few days, I feel you! Ever since touching down in Norfolk, it’s been wall to wall coverage of the bomb cyclone hitting the east coast. Not to mention, it’s been so, so cold. This cold-weather outfit is my go-to when temperatures dip below freezing. I’ll be doing a more thorough post shortly.
I snagged this fair isle sweater dress on sale before heading home to Dallas a few weeks ago. Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about it. Plus, it’s still on sale! It’s 70 percent acrylic and 30 percent wool, which keeps you very warm. It’s a big pet peeve of mine when I find a cute sweater dress and it’s made of cotton. That’s not going to keep you warm at all. During winter, I don’t mind investing in cold-weather fabrics including acrylic, cashmere and wool. Another plus to this fair isle sweater dress? It’s not itchy, at all. I love how soft it feels and really hugs your body in all the right spots. Another aspect I enjoy is the balloon sleeves, which are so chic. Wear a warm base layer underneath this sweater dress and you’re good to go for the winter.
It’s no surprise I’m loving tassel earrings lately. These red statement ones are so fun to wear. Since they are such a statement, I prefer to wear them with outfits that are more neutral. Imagine how beautiful they would be with a white winter look or chic black sweater, leggings and boots. This sweater dress has hints of red, so it’s perfect for pairing with these earrings. They also come in black and blush, too!
