All I can think of is wearing bright, fresh colors with spring in full force. I am mixing up my work style with a pair of White House Black Market pink ankle pants. While I usually prefer dresses, I love how these fit and feel. Due to the cotton, nylon and spandex blend these pink ankle pants are so comfortable on and stretchy. Plus, the 00 short is a great fit for me. The length hits right above my ankles, which is a total plus! On days where it gets chilly, I love the warmth of these. Also, the color is a refreshing take on the boring black or navy. I’m pairing these with a pair of d’Orsay heels to make the outfit sharp. Plus, the slimming cut of these pants combined with the heels really elongates the legs. Another aspect I love about these pants is they’re wrinkle free.
I am a huge fan of bell sleeves, but I have to find something a little more subdued for work. This white poplin top features bell sleeves that are just the right size, which is perfect. The white has a crisp feel and is definitely work appropriate. Also, this top has a bit of stretch, so it goes on and comes off easily. In addition, I love how conservative the v-neck is so no worries about showing too much cleavage here! Of course, I love how versatile this top is. While perfect for the office with pink ankle pants, this flirty bell sleeve top can easily be restyled for the weekend. Pair it with distressed girlfriend jeans for a casual look. Another option is to spruce it up for a fancy affair with a floral lace skirt in a bright pink.
Happy Monday y’all! First of all, I’m currently home in Dallas, Texas and I couldn’t be happier to be with family. Plus, I just love how much southern charm there is in Texas! Not to mention the abundance of Vietnamese food thanks to Momma Cung and all the other local restaurants!
Onto this blue floral off the shoulder dress screaming southern charm. It’s actually intended to be a cover up, but it is fully lined. Hence, that means I’m wearing it as a dress. Plus, it’s way too cute not to wear out and about. This blue floral is such an adorable print, y’all. I love the hints of yellow and the mixes of blue. Also, the tied sleeves and miniature pom pom trim at the hem are too cute to resist. Made of a breezy cotton voile (cotton with a touch of silk) this blue floral off the shoulder dress is lightweight and perfect for spring. I’m pairing it with my favorite suede heels for height. However, this dress would be cute with espadrilles.
Also, I wanted to talk a little bit about self-tanner. Somehow I have managed to get scarily pale and it hasn’t exactly been beach weather in coastal Virginia. My current favorite is St. Tropez and I highly recommend their mitt! First, exfoliate in the shower then apply a thick moisturizer to your knees, ankles and elbows. Second, I use three pumps per leg, two per arm and then three for my chest and stomach area. Finally, I use two pumps for my face and actually prefer to apply that with my hands. Any leftover foam, I massage all over my hands to try and make everything even. This is hit or miss, but I wanted to share my routine with y’all!
Happy Wednesday y’all! My love for one-piece swimsuits is definitely growing. They have made a comeback and seem to be sticking around! While I still prefer bikinis, but this black off the shoulder swimsuit has my heart. Not to mention, this one-piece gives me very old-school, vintage, classy vibes and is perfect for the beach. As with all my other spring and summer pieces, I am loving anything off the shoulder. While I would not recommend this off the shoulder swimsuit for anything super active, it is a great suit for light activities and when you want to relax. A little beach volleyball shouldn’t be a problem, though! Of course, when it comes to one-pieces you can’t say no to tummy coverage (hello eating yummy beach food!). Plus, they can be elongating if you find the right one.
An aspect I particularly love about this off the shoulder swimsuit is the high leg cut. This really elongates the legs (who doesn’t like that?) but is not overly revealing. Some high leg swimsuits can be cut a little too high for my taste, but this one is a great medium. Since I have a small chest, I do not have to worry about coverage. Also, I do want to add this one-piece isn’t lined or have extra forms of support. On the other hand, the ruffles provide coverage. Plus, I have seen it on women who are more well-endowed than me and it looks great. Reviews say it runs small, but I am wearing my usual 2 in this brand and it fits comfortably.
Sizes are selling out in this suit quickly (it originally went on sale last fall), but I found an almost similar off the shoulder one-piece. Plus, it’s cheaper! Also, I’m linking some other cute one-piece swimsuits that are off the shoulder and have ruffles.
