Moving back to Texas! The emotional move I’ve waited my whole life for

Happy New Year Y’all! I know it’s been quite a while since I have written on the blog, but if you follow me on Instagram, you know I’ve been in the process of moving back to Texas! In 2014, I moved from my home state of Texas to Central Nebraska to pursue a career in TV News. This is something I’ve dreamed about since I was a little girl. My whole family came to the United States of America as political refugees from communist Vietnam. There isn’t any freedom of speech or press in communist Vietnam. I grew up with my family watching the news, wanting to be informed, active citizens in their new community. Thus, grew my love of becoming a storyteller.

One of My Favorite Winter Trend: Wearing Velvet Flats

Velvet is one of my favorite winter fabrics and I don’t think that’s going to change any time soon. I remember when I was first introduced to velvet. I was maybe 9-years-old and standing in the workroom of a woman who makes competitive figure skating dresses. I was getting my very first custom “big girl” dress and I couldn’t be more excited! My dress was made of a rich dark purple stretch velvet, complete with rhinestones.
