In addition to the Sephora sale, which happens twice a year, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is another time to score great deals on beauty items. I don’t really go crazy and buy a ton of items. I stick to what I need and know works. If there is money left over in my budget to try a few items I’m curious about, I’ll get one or two since they are a good value. T3 MICRO CURLING IRON & HAIR DRYER

Review: Hands down my favorite curling iron, ever. I use this almost every single day and every time I curl my hair. I have the white and rose gold version but the gray and rose gold is part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Personally, I actually prefer the gray since the white tends to show staining from hair products over time. I use this on setting 2 or 3. I don’t blow dry my hair often, but when I do, I use this hair dryer since it’s fast and does the job well.

SIMPLEHUMAN SENSOR MIRROR

Review: I got my first one in 2014 and as hard as it is for me to admit, it is very difficult for me to do my makeup without this mirror now. I know $150 is a lot of money for a makeup mirror that lights up, but I promise you it is worth every penny. Not only does it evenly light your face but it provides different light settings such as indoor, evening, cloudy, so you can get your makeup perfect every time. The 5x magnification on the bigger mirror truly helps you apply makeup flawlessly because you can see everything. A little scary at first but then you’ll find it’s hard to live without it. This also comes with a smaller 10x magnification mirror. Plus, you can control the mirror via an app on your phone (I use it to keep the light on for 30 mins).

Review: The colors in this palette are gorgeous and perfect for creating a variety of looks. Warm neutrals are my favorite shadows to use and this palette makes it so easy. Perfect for every day, special occasions and small enough for you to travel with! I love the big mirror in this, too!

Review: I just purchased this from the sale and I’m so excited to try it out! I’ve heard incredible things about how this helps prevent aging and bedhead. It’s made with silk, which is less absorbent than other fibers so your skin can retain its moisture and your expensive beauty products absorb into your skin and not your pillowcase. This will also help keep your hair soft and tangle-free.

PURITY FACIAL CLEANSER

Review: My holy-grail facial cleanser for more than a decade. This is truly one of the best facial cleansers on the market. Not only have I been able to use this when I forget my favorite cleansing oil (I just wash my face twice as opposed to once) but it’s gentle enough to not dry out my skin. I have pretty much everyone in my family hooked on this and during the sale it’s the best value. Plus, it’s one of my top beauty picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale because it’ll literally last me more than the entire year. Oh and I love how it comes with a travel-size version you can refill!

BEAUTYBLENDER SET

Review: I cannot do my face makeup without using a wet beautyblender! I truly believe this is one of the reasons my foundation looks like skin and applies flawlessly. After I apply foundation with a brush, I’ll go in with a beautyblender sponge to smooth everything out. Love how this set has two sponges and comes with a case for travel. I wash mine every three uses and use a new one every three to four months to make sure it’s clean.
