The Best Wedding Registry Essentials You Have to Ask For

Hi y’all! Since getting engaged, one of my most-requested posts has been sharing my best wedding registry essentials. Since building our new home we’ve been very thoughtful about investing in the right items. From the kitchen to the living room, I’m excited to share my most loved products with you! Living together for the past three years has really shown us what we use and don’t use, and the items we tend to reach for most. When registering, I recommend picking a mix of pricier and more affordable items to accommodate every budget. It may feel awkward to add more expensive things, but remember guests like to splurge for bigger occasions and can always pool together to buy something for you, too!

KITCHEN

Johnny and I love to cook! I used to meal prep all day Sunday when living alone and now we cook almost every night! One of the first kitchen items I saved for and invested in was a Le Creuset Dutch Oven. I got a white 3.5 qt with a gold knob in 2016 because I wanted to bake no-knead bread. It’s a staple for that, stews, soups, my favorite soba noodle salad, rice and so much more. I love the materials as well – the cast iron makes it over safe and the enameled coating makes it nontoxic and doesn’t chip like other dutch ovens. Plus, you can pass it down. I have friends who inherited their grandmother’s Le Creuset and I love that!

HOME ITEMS

My best wedding registry essentials definitely prioritize functionality. Never underestimate how something like a high-quality vacuum or purifier and humidifier can change your life and home! I love the Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Plug because it’s affordable for guests with smaller budgets. As an electronic device controller, it’s also so useful and convenient. A beautiful step stool may not make sense at first, but this one from Serena & Lily is very versatile. It can be part of your decor or help you reach high places now, and if you have kids later, they’ll be able to use it for years. Serena & Lily products are designed to last, so I have no doubt the cost-per-use will go down to pennies. Those who are sentimental may want to contribute to something more personal, which is why I added the Floor to Ceiling Grid from Framebridge similar to the one in our home. It’s so special!

BEDDING & BATH

I believe in the importance of investing in a good night’s sleep. Having the right pillow is a bigger deal than you think – it supports your spine, which impacts so much. We love Leesa’s and have used them for years. Speaking as someone who’s always cold, the right duvet insert can also make a huge difference. We swear by these sheets from Boll & Branch because they are so soft, can be used all year, and are super sustainably made. The only thing we swap out is the pillowcases in exchange for silk ones that help you retain moisture and soak in your skincare. Moving onto the bathroom, I had no idea how luxurious bath linens could be until I tried these from Serena & Lily. The Turkish cotton dries very quickly and is so soft! Their bath mat is also extra plush, which is helpful when you’re standing on the cold, hard tile floor to get ready.
