This post is in Partnership with M.M.LaFleur. All opinions are my own.
The weather is getting cooler and with that the jackets and coats start coming out. When it comes to building a wardrobe, I believe in pieces you can re-wear year after year and for multiple seasons. That’s one reason why M.M.LaFleur is a favorite of mine for versatile pieces. The pieces are incredible quality, wrinkle-resistant and so flattering. M.M.LaFleur caters to women who are on-the-go whether that means you’re running from business meeting to a dinner date, picking up kids from school then going to a late-night gathering or the reality many of us see today: working from home and still wanting to be professional. The reviews speak for themselves.
In honor of the Election this year, M.M.LaFleur is offering 50% off on select styles to those who are registered to vote and/or have encouraged others to vote! You can check out those styles here and use code HKCUNGVOTE2020 to get 50% off! Since Texas has early voting, everyone in my family has already done their civic duty. Yay!
Reversible Cleo Coat
If you are looking for a coat that can really give you bang for your buck, look no further than the Cleo Coat. I love how it’s reversible. A genius idea, this coat switches from a classic camel to a beautiful burnt orange. I love how there are pockets and the sash is two-sided, too. It’s 62% double-faced wool, so it will keep you nice and warm while also being ultra-soft. It almost feels like your favorite cozy cardigan. Wear it loose without the sash if you’re cold inside and bundle up and tie the sash tight when you’re heading out to brave the weather. A stylish coat is a must if you’re looking for fall and winter versatile pieces.
I’m wearing size XS and this coat does have a more casual oversized fit. It may run big on someone who is more petite than me. I really appreciate how you can roll up the sleeves for a bit of a pop and use the sash to cinch in the waist.
The Shaw Pant
I’ve had these pants for more than a year and I can say with confidence if you are looking for a pair of black pants, these are the best! I love how they are a scuba material, which is extremely stretchy and so comfortable. You could probably workout in these! I love the seam in the front, tapered legs and size zipper. They are sleek and you can style them with heels and a blouse for work and on the weekends with a tee and sneakers. Easily one of the best versatile pieces in my closet.
I’m wearing size 0 and petite sizing is now available! It wasn’t when I originally got these last year. I love the fit because they are like a skinny ankle pant, but are not too tight. They will be perfect for work from home because they really feel like leggings, but are professional so you can wear in the office.
I’ve previously talked about the Shaw Pant when sharing some of my travel favorites.
The Choe Top
An elevated version of the classic white tee, this Choe Top is made of a gorgeous stretchy knit material. Opaque and high-quality you can wear this on its own or under blazers and cardigans. Its versatility alone makes it a fantastic piece to include in your workwear basics. Comes in a few colors, I love the crisp white. It’s honestly the top you can wear any time of the year, whether it’s a layering piece or by itself. I love the slightly longer short sleeves, too. I wear size XS and it hugs my body without being too tight.
The Merrit Jardigan
Is it a jacket or a cardigan? This hybrid of the two is a classic item in my wardrobe. Another versatile piece I’ve had since last year, I reach for it when I want something comfortable and professional. It comes in a wide array of colors and I love how stretchy it is. Whether you choose to wear it open or closed, the drape of it is simply stunning. It’s truly a testament to M.M.LaFleur’s quality. I love it over the Choe top or pictured here over a cashmere sweater on cold days.
