The Best Blazer You’ll Need For Casual Fall Outfits

I’m on a huge blazer kick right now because I really love how they can truly make an outfit. I’m excited to share the best blazer you’ll need for casual fall outfits is 40% off right now with code COZY. This one is a more laid back approach to my other favorite blazer, which has more of a traditional classic look. Depending on your own personal style and your work environment, you can decide which one is best for you.

This sweater blazer hybrid is very similar to a coatigan, which is exactly what you’re thinking: a coat and a cardigan in one. This blazer is soft and cozy like your favorite sweater but cut in a blazer’s silhouette.

It’s All About the Fit

One aspect I really appreciate about this blazer is even though it doesn’t come in petite sizing, it does go down to XXX-Small. I know that sounds crazy, but when you’re a petite gal, alterations can add up! Plus, it’s always disappointing when you put something on hoping for that slightly oversized look but it drowns you instead and you look like a child.

I’m wearing size XX-Small and I love it. In retrospect, I probably could have gotten XXX-Small, but I wanted it to be slightly oversized and have a looser fit since this blazer is more casual and laid back. Plus, I figured I could layer it over sweaters without a problem. The length is about 28″ and I love how it’s longer than traditional blazers. This gives it more of that cardigan look. Plus, it means you can wear this blazer with leggings for those casual fall outfits.

Overall, the fit on this blazer is a huge win. The sleeves aren’t too big or long. It drapes beautifully and comes in tons of colors. I have the Heather Khaki, which is the perfect light brown for all year long.

Quality Over Quantity

At the original price, this blazer will run you $148 and even then it is worth every single penny. Made of 35 percent cotton, 35 percent polyester and 30 percent merino wool, this blazer is ultra-soft and will keep you warm. There’s a reason why merino wool is so loved. It’s one of the best fabrics for fall and winter because it’s breathable, yet keeps you warm unlike most synthetics.

Stitching is a telltale sign of quality and J.Crew didn’t skimp out here. Plus, how the blazer fits and hangs is a testament to the quality of the garment. It doesn’t pill, which is fantastic, and doesn’t wrinkle easily. This makes it perfect for work from home, throwing on over any outfit you’re wearing and adding that final bit of polish.

Styling Possibilities

The ways you can style this blazer for casual fall outfits are endless. I’m pairing it with a spotted tee and Mom jeans right now, but you can also wear it with leggings and booties, jeans and over-the-knee boots and so much more. I’ve also layered this over dresses to transition them to fall. Plus, this would be darling with sweater dresses, too! I’m excited to share you a few ways to style this blazer in the upcoming weeks!
