Hello again! Johnny here. I’m back from my winter hibernation just in time for Nordstrom Anniversary Sale fireworks. I put together a quick list of things I would’ve bought, but instead, Hoang-Kim bought and had shipped directly to our home. You or your man will appreciate having any and all of these in his life. Consider it my list of the best items for men from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.

NIKE EPIC REACT FLYKNIT SNEAKERS

Let’s start with shoes and sneakers. They can make or break your day, especially if it’s one you’ll actually move 10,000+ steps. The Nike React Flyknits are my go-to’s this season. They can be worn for workouts and seamlessly transition to wear on a night out. If you get one with highlight colors vs. all blacks, you will turn heads and get compliments pretty regularly. Everyone needs a pair of all-purpose cross-training sneakers you can finish a run in and match with your dark blue jeans.

TO BOOT NEW YORK CAP TOE OXFORD

For those who need to regularly suit up for their work, definitely consider getting a pair of high quality To Boot New York black dress shoes. Yes, they are a little pricey, but these are shoes that will become your best friend and your partner for more than a decade. Take advantage of the sale, cop a pair, and enjoy good craftsmanship. These are the type of leather shoes that form to your feet to become uniquely yours. Get them polished regularly. Eventually, take them to the cobbler and get the sole replaced. Walk tall and confident for years to come.

CALVIN KLEIN BOXER BRIEFS

Moving to a more intimate discussion, the Calvin Klein Boxer Briefs, are my new go-to. I’m really picky about a piece of clothing that spends its time holding me together. These boxer briefs are very breathable, fit just right for everyday wear, and can be used for workouts too. One caveat is they have a seam on the thigh that can show if you have pants or shorts that hug your quads, but doesn’t draw attention otherwise.

AG JEANS

One layer above, you owe yourself a great pair of dark blue jeans. As work attire moves more casual, jeans are acceptable workwear. Don’t get caught cheaping out. Get a great pair that will evolve with you from the office to Happy Hour. These AG jeans are your partner in crime. They are very comfortable, stretch well if you plan on taking on any challenges during happy hour you didn’t foresee, and the raw dye evolves with wear to make them uniquely yours.

HUGO BOSS WOOL SUIT

Last but not least, the Hugo Boss suit. It’s one of those items you sort of need to wait for a sale to purchase. I mean…”I got a good deal too.” I’m an athletic build, so I’m happy to report the Hugo Boss suit fits me well and slims me out. Hugo Boss is a respected name in the suit game, I don’t really need to say more.
