Cupcakes and Cashmere top, BB Dakota skirt, Topshop heels
Happy Monday Everyone!
I hope you had a lovely Easter! I have been incorporating more skirts into my looks lately, even though I am a huge fan of dresses for how easy and quick they are. This blaze lace skirt from BB Dakota is an incredibly eye-catching color and perfect for spring leading into summer. It’s also a piece with versatility, working for both work and the weekend. I love the longer length too. I actually pulled it up a little higher to have the hem around my knees, but it can be worn as a midi skirt too. I love pairing contrasting colors together, so when I saw this bright red-orange skirt, I knew I had to wear a chambray blouse with it. I love adding different shades of chambray into my wardrobe and I love the more western, true denim, feel of this one from Cupcakes and Cashmere. I didn’t want to tuck the blouse into the skirt since the bulk of it would have shown through, so I went with tying it over the skirt instead. I wish I tied it twice for a tighter, neater look, but hey you live and you learn. Tying it the blouse makes for a more casual look, but I like it since I’m already wearing chambray. I love mixing fabrics and lace and denim together are one of my dream pairings I’ve been hoping to wear! I can now check that off my list!
I still have these blush faux suede Topshop heels on repeat. I think I wear them 3 to 4 times a week at work, but they go with everything! Plus, now that they don’t bug my ankle anymore, they’re so comfortable and great for those who do an adequate amount of walking around at work. Since the last post where I wore them, I’ve added a gel insert for the whole foot and now they are even better. I highly recommend gel inserts for all shoes. I think about 95 percent of my shoes have inserts. Have a fantastic week!
