Happy Friday My Beautiful Friends!
I’m teaming up with local boutique Kindred in Downtown Grand Island to share some looks for spring. This boutique has been a lifesaver in Grand Island. Truly one of a kind, owner Chelsea truly curates a great collection for shoppers. The boutique sells women’s clothing, home decor, books, beauty items and accessories. I love how they carry BB Dakota and Cupcakes and Cashmere, some labels I’ve been enjoying lately as I add more casual pieces to my wardrobe aka weekend warriors. As you may know, I’ve really enjoyed more casual looks lately, especially on the weekends or at night since I am very prim and proper when I’m at work.
The classic tee, jeans and cardigan look is unbeatable. I’ve found if the t-shirt is on the slouchy or oversized end, tucking the middle in makes for a nice look, but if it’s a slimmer fit, it can just hang over. These rag + bone jeans are still favorites of mine after getting them last year. I switch between them and my latest distressed denim addition (previously seen here) every weekend. I’ve really liked wearing them rolled up and found they don’t cut off my legs too much. Sometimes when I roll up jeans, I end up looking shorter, which is something I’m never looking for.
The bright red stripes on this cardigan caught my eye when I was in the boutique. The fabric is super soft and cozy. The shorter sleeves are actually a plus for me. I own many long-sleeved cardigans, so being able to mix things up is nice. I can see myself restyling this cardigan with a variety of dresses and even shorts outfits.
Johnny (he’s recently told me he wants to be Johnny now haha) was in town and he’s usually behind the camera for my blog posts, but since I worked with the lovely Meghan Small this time, he got to take a break.
