Hi Y’all! There is a little more than a week left of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! If you haven’t done your some of your shopping yet, now is the time! Prices on these brand new items for fall will go back to full price August 5th, so make sure to shop before then. I want to share my petite picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. While I had to do some serious digging, there are great classic pieces that are petite friendly. I tend to prefer classic pieces over trendy items, anyway since you will get more wear out of them.

I’ve talked about this before but it’s so important to invest in your wardrobe. Think about the cost per wear versus what’s on the price tag. For example, a good pair of designer jeans you are comfortable in and flatter you, will last years. Versus a cheaper pair of jeans that’ll fray or the color will fade over a few months. I still wear the pair of AG Jeans I purchased from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in 2016. For this reason, I am not sharing any classic coats from the sale. Many of the coats featured are only wool or polyester blend, with the polyester taking up more than 50% of the fabric makeup. This will not keep you warm and personally, I don’t think it’s worth your money. I believe you can find much better for a better price later down the line.

MOTORCYCLE LEATHER JACKET

Size: Wearing size US 2, which fits like a 0
Review: Still in stock in all sizes in black and only a few in the light gray. The cropped length is perfect for petite ladies. This hits me right at the hips, which makes wearing this jacket ideal with high-waisted bottoms, skirts or dresses. I’m a fan of European sizing since it usually runs small. Plus, I really appreciate how this jacket fully zips and has pockets. Faux leather, so it’s not the warmest but if you’re looking for a staple leather jacket, this is it!

STUART WEITZMAN OVER-THE-KNEE BOOTS

Size: Got 35.5 (equivalent to 5.5) runs true to size but the calf area can be tight. Suede should stretch over time but these can be hard to get on and off at first. Also, if you want to wear thicker socks come winter, size up half a size.
Review: For ladies 5’4 and shorter, you’re in for a steal! These will go up your legs a little higher but still are not quite “thigh-high” if you know what I mean. I prefer this since these boots are so warm. They really keep my legs comfortable during frigid cold days while also being stylish. Nearly $300 off their original retail price, these Stuart Weitzman Darla over-the-knee boots are an incredible deal from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I love the lower heel because it’ll be even more comfortable than the 4″ heel, which I can already wear for 4-6 hours without issues. These boots are an investment item but in the fall and winter, I wear them almost every day. I own two colors in the highland style and one pair in the lowland. I cannot say enough good things about these! Definitely one of my top petite picks!

OVER-THE-KNEE BOOTS LESS THAN $90

Review: For less than $90, you really cannot go wrong with these over-the-knee boots. Made in a faux suede, which will not be as warm as the SW pair above, these provide the classic look but at a lower price point. Still available in almost all sizes in the black. Take note, the faux suede is only on the front as the back is a stretchy fabric, which makes these hug the leg better.

DOUBLE-BREASTED BLAZER

Size: Wearing size 00 but comes in Petite online! I recommend getting petite if you’re 5’4 and shorter.
Review: Hands down one of my favorite petite picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. If you are looking for a classic blazer that will be your workhorse, snap this one up while it’s on sale! Petite sizing is available exclusively online, so make sure to order soon! This blazer fits well through the body and the sleeves hug but aren’t too tight. I love the rich gold color, which is more of a sunny yellow. However, this blazer is available in classic black, cobalt blue and navy.

Review: This brand usually always has petite sizing, which is what I opt for. This peplum blouse is made of a soft, drapey fabric that moves with you. The color is so vibrant in person. I will say it can be hard to get off because of the neck but otherwise, a fantastic top you can wear to work and on the weekends. Comes in a few different colors. The petite sizing is perfect on me because the peplum starts at my waist, which is where it should!

OMBRE SKATER DRESS

Review: This dress was one of my top dress picks for petite ladies from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. The ombre print draws me in and gives this dress a very elegant and sophisticated feel. Not to mention, it’s very flattering and helps give the illusion of an hourglass figure. The shape and material are thicker, which makes it perfect for fall and winter. When it gets cold, you can layer this over a mock neck tee or a merino wool sweater for warmth. Wear to work with a blazer or cardigan then take it off and trade in sparkly earrings to take this from desk to drinks. I also love this as a wedding guest dress and special occasions with the right earrings.

Review: One of my favorite Gibson tops because it’s soft, cozy and can be styled up or down. The material is stretchy and so comfortable, too. Petite sizing makes a huge difference on this top. The twist hits pretty much right at my hip, so it’s perfect for wearing with high-waisted jeans or athletic bottoms. It’s the perfect top for throwing on for a chic look because the twist adds a unique detail. Comes in a few fresh colors for fall and fun prints! Take note to wash inside out or handwash if possible and lay flat to dry.

Review: I cannot believe this sweater isn’t sold out yet! A true gem of the sale and one of the better quality sweaters. You can wear out with jeans or leggings or do a half tuck. The sleeves can be a little long but even with them rolled up, it’s still a cute look. Fabric is an acrylic and polyester blend so it’s warm but not as breathable as cashmere or wool. However, it’s a good deal for the price. Be sure you either hand wash or use the delicate cycle and lay flat to dry to maintain the shape and quality.

Review: This easily makes the list for my petite picks! Great quality for the price and the fabric feels so soft and smooth on the skin. Warning, this is a bodycon fit, so size up to wear to work or you might get a few looks. The ruching makes this dress ultra-flattering and there are so many ways you can wear this. Love it on its own for fancier occasions or date night. Throw on a blazer for workwear and style with a fun cardigan for a casual outfit. Also comes in black and can definitely be bump-friendly if you are expecting.

In the past, I’ve had great luck with cropped jeans, especially ones that are distressed since the holes are usually perfectly placed on my knees and not awkwardly above or below. I have two pairs of Paige jeans and the quality is superb. The fabric is super soft and very stretchy. You can’t go wrong!

Review: The print on this midi dress draws me in. I actually just ordered it online and when it arrives will try it on and share an update. I love the midi length and am excited to it.
