My Current Spring Beauty Regimen

Spring is all about refreshing. Once winter is over and warmer weather starts showing its colors, I love to revamp my beauty drawer and swap colors out. One of my most asked questions revolves around my beauty routine, so in today’s post I’m sharing my current spring beauty regimen. This post will include skincare, haircare, the tools I use and of course my makeup. I’ll break down each of my favorites and why I love it. Some of these are holy-grail favorites I’ve used for years. While some are new favorites I can’t live without.

The basis of good makeup is good skincare. While I swear by some of these products, it’s also important to realize you are what you eat. What you put in your body will be reflected in your skin. I drink eight to 10 cups of water a day, eat lots of fruits and vegetables and love to work out a few times a week. Of course, I eat Chick Fil A here and there but it’s important to remember nourishing your body is what’s most important.

This a lengthy one, so grab a cup of coffee or tea and let’s make sure you are glowing for the season ahead!

Skincare

CLEANSING

Dermalogica Pre Cleanse:- Exactly what it sounds like. Use this before you cleanse to remove all the makeup from your face. I can’t stress enough how important it is to “double cleanse.” If you wear makeup, especially the kind I recommend below, you must remove it before you actually wash your race. Otherwise, you’re just washing off the makeup and not actually cleaning your pores and skin. I love this cleansing oil for my current spring beauty regimen because of its lighter formula. I use one to two pumps.
Kopari Coconut Cleansing Oil: A more affordable and also clean beauty pick for cleansing oils. I’ll put three to four pumps into my hands, rub them together and massage over my face for about 30 seconds. I take care to be soft around the eyes but still making sure to get the makeup off my eyes, especially my lash glue!
Skinceuticals LHA Cleansing Gel: Hands down the best cleanser for acne or blemish prone skin. This really gets down into your pores while also helping with the texture of your skin to make it buttery soft. I started using this a few months ago and have noticed softer, brighter skin. This tingles a little bit and I love it!
Purity Cleanser:  My holy grail cleanser for more than 11 years! I swear by this and if I don’t have a cleansing oil, I just cleanse with this twice for a super long period of time. This is one of the only cleansers that doesn’t dry out my face or make it feel tight and gets my face clean.

TREATMENT/EXFOLIATION

SkinCeuticals Blemish Serum: I cannot say enough good things about this product. Earlier this year, I started using another well-known brand and I broke out so badly (blog post coming on this soon). It was worse than anything I had ever encountered. This serum truly treated my breakouts and healed my skin.
SkinCeuticals C+AHA Serum:  This has 15 percent vitamin c and a blend of hydroxy acids, which exfoliates and neutralizes the skin. I use this during the day after washing and before moisturizer.
Drunk Elephant Exfoliator: This feels like fire ants are eating at your skin but when you rinse it off, your skin will be baby soft. I use this two to three times a week and leave it on for 20 minutes.

MOISTURIZE

Peter Thomas Roth Cloud Cream: The texture and feeling of this are truly unlike any other. It’s weightless and ultra soft while providing long-lasting moisture. I started using this last summer and it’s making its way back into my current spring beauty regimen
Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Crème: The very first eye cream I actually love and enjoy using! I use this in the morning to brighten and help with any puffiness. It truly helps makeup glide on around the eye area and you’ll notice how much brighter your eyes are after applying!
Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen: Supergoop! sent me this to try last year and I instantly fell in love! The SPF 40 is crucial to protecting your skin from the harmful rays (full review here) and is completely clear! Makeup will glide right on like a dream.
Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask: My go-to when it comes to travel and when my skin feels tired or ultra dry. If I know I’m traveling (road trips count!), I’ll use this the night before and when I arrive at my destination to give my skin its moisture back. If it’s a long flight, I’ll use it on the plane. This really plumps up your skin, feels refreshing and leaves you glowing.
Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber De-Tox Eye Patches: Leave them in the fridge and apply on those mornings you can’t get out of bed or just feel beyond tired. The puffiness and bags under your eyes will thank you.

FOUNDATION

Estee Lauder Double Wear:  My holy grail foundation for every day. The coverage you get with this foundation is incredible and this tops my list when it comes to my fall beauty products. I use shades Spiced Sand and Cashew.
Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder: A beautiful foundation that’ll make your skin glow, truly. I love using this on days when I want a radiant glow to my makeup as opposed to a more matte finish. This glides on whether you use a brush or beauty blender. A definite favorite when it comes to my current spring beauty regimen. I wear shade Medium 7 when I’m tan.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless: If you want a foundation with good coverage and feels weightless, this is the one for you. This applies very well and looks natural on the skin. I recommend applying with a beauty blender to really press it into the skin. The lasting power on this is also quite good.
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk – Nothing compares to the finish of this foundation. It truly looks like skin while giving incredible coverage. This is a must-have when it comes to fall my beauty products. My shade ranges from 6.5 to 7.5.
La Mer Soft Fluid Foundation: A definite splurge and to be honest, I would not purchase this if it wasn’t on sale since the price tag is so high. However, you get the benefits of La Mer’s famous kelp broth in makeup. Win-win.

CONCEALER

HUDA BEAUTY Overachiever Concealer: This packs a lot of power! Very opaque yet also easy to blend. This is my current go-to when it comes to concealer because of how it truly brightens under the eyes and helps highlight my face. I use shade 10 coconut flakes.
Charlotte Tilbury Retoucher: This concealer is like magic. The Charlotte Tilbury team sent this to me to try and I gotta say, it really plumps under the eyes! I love how it really moisturizes under the eyes as opposed to drying it out like many other concealers. I use shade 3 medium.
NARS Concealer: My go-to concealer because of how bright this makes my undereye look. The formula is such a goodie and sits well on top of foundation.

POWDER

Charlotte Tilbury Powder: My favorite powder to use hands down, especially if I’m going to be photographed. This truly gives you an airbrush finish and your skin will look flawless. I use the color medium. This is also one of my go-to fall beauty products when I travel since it’s compact.
Lawless Setting Powder: A clean beauty favorite, this setting powder will keep you shine-free all day long.
RCMA No Color Powder: The best bang for you buck. I wore this powder when I competed at Miss USA and when I’m reporting in severe weather. Your makeup will not move. Plus, it’s very affordable.

BLUSH/BRONZER

MAC Melba: Easily my favorite blush for my current spring beauty regiment. Melba has been a go-to since 2015 and it is perfect for so many skintones!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Bronzer: I’ve been using this bronzer for contouring for years. I love shades Terracota and Earth.
Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder: The only thing I’ll use to contour my nose, ha! I use shade medium and it is perfect for really sculpting the face. I use a pencil brush to really get a thin line.
NARS Blush: A cult classic I have been using for years. I love shades Amour and Orgasm.

EYES

EYESHADOW

HUDA BEAUTY Obsessions Palette: The mauve palette is a must get for your spring beauty regimen. These colors will complement any eye color and keep you on trend. The shadows are opaque, very easy to apply and blend.
Viseart Palette:  Definitely on the pricy end but I promise you if you purchase this palette, you won’t need any other. My main travel palette has every color you’ll ever need. Plus, I can use the gray and brown shades to fill in my brows.
Urban Decay Palette:  A great price point with all matte colors, this palette is a dream! Perfect for spring and into summer.

ETC

Kat Von D Liner: My holy grail eyeliner. You need this. End of discussion.
MAC Studio Finish Concealer: While it’s not exactly an eyeshadow primer, it’s what I swear by. I use it to shape the bottom of my eyebrows, then as a primer.
Eyebrow Gel: I use this when I don’t have time to really fill in my brows but need to do something. Love the brown color as it blends seamlessly.

LASHES

Red Cherry Lashes:  These are the most affordable and personally I love how these look for a more natural look. I can reuse these for about 2-3 weeks before they start falling apart. As with all lashes, you need to carefully pick off the glue from the previous use before applying. My favorite styles are 415, 523 and Wispy.
Ardell Lashes:  An affordable set of mink-like lashes. These look great when you want a more dramatic look but don’t want to pay for mink lashes.
HUDA BEAUTY Lashes: These are stunning and really open up the eyes! I love the Samantha and Jade styles.
Velour Lashes:  An alternative to mink but look incredible. These are a bit of a splurge but keep in mind you can re-use these many times.
Flutter Lashes:  Hands down, my favorite pair of lashes in the world. Flutter Lashes generously sponsored me when I competed at Miss USA. These lashes are truly incredible and you won’t regret them.

LIPS

LIPSTICK

Too Faced Liquid Lipstick: Hands down my favorite lip product and has been for two years. I have the colors Cool Girl, Child Star and Sell Out. These last forever and I can eat, drink and still trust when I go on air at 11 pm, I still look good. The color Cool Girl is a favorite for my fall beauty products.
Lime Crime Plushie: Got this to try during my trip to New York and I love the color and formula! It’s not super long-lasting but does a great job and doesn’t leave my lips dry.
Charlotte Tilbury Kissing Lipstick: If you’re looking for a classic lipstick you can always turn to, this is it! Moisturizing, easy to apply and long-lasting. My favorite shades are Penelope and Bitch Perfect.
HUDA BEAUTY Liquid Matte Lipstick: A great liquid lipstick and available in tons of colors. The formula isn’t drying either. Love how there is a matching lip liner.

LIP LINER

Charlotte Tilbury Pencil: One of my favorite pencils because of how creamy it is. The color pillow talk is a cult classic and a favorite when it comes to my spring beauty regiment. You can even just line your lips, apply lip balm and head out the door!
HUDA Beauty: The formula is so easy to apply and really stays put. Gossip Gurl is my go-to shade.
MAC Cosmetics – I love these. My favorite shades are whirl, nice n’ spicy and soar. The formula on these is a little dryer than the previous two.

TOOLS OF THE TRADE

Foundation Brush:  The holy grail when it comes to foundation brushes. This brush may not look special but it will apply your makeup without any streaks. I couldn’t imagine applying makeup without it or my favorite sponge.
Beauty Blender:  You have to get this and you have to use it wet. I have tried similar ones and they are just not as good. I use this to smooth out my concealer, cream contour and more.
Under Eye Brush: I use this to set my concealer under my eyes and to apply the Charlotte Tilbury powder.
Eyebrow Brush: What I use to apply any brow products, whether it’s Dipbrow or powder.
DUO Lash Glue: My favorite glue to use because this applicator makes it so easy! Plus, I love how it has both dark and clear.
Rose Quartz Roller:  I use this every night and in the morning if I have time. Use it in upward motions because our skin is like shingles. This really pushes the product into your skin.
Sensor Mirror: I have used this mirror since 2014 and couldn’t imagine doing makeup without it. The magnification can be a little scary but it really helps you apply your makeup flawlessly! I love the new collection because it comes in gold and rose gold.
Towel Headband: I swear by this! I use it to keep my hair out of my face when I wash it, apply skincare and also in the shower on days I don’t wash my hair!

HAIR

TOOLS

Curling Iron: Hands down my favorite curling iron. I have both the convertible one and this one. This is a 1.25″ barrel, which is perfect for soft curls. Can go up to 410 degrees Fahrenheit.
Hair Dryer: I usually let my hair air dry but on the occasion I have to blow dry it, this is what I use. I love how fast my hair dries with this!

PRODUCTS

Dry Shampoo:  I’ve used a variety of dry shampoos and this is what I’m currently using. It does the job and doesn’t leave a lot of white cast!
Shampoo:  My hair is still recovering from a dry winter, so I’m using this shampoo for dry hair. My hair comes out healthy and strong.
Length Strengthening Conditioner:  I’m still working on growing out my hair from last fall, so I use this every other week when I wash.
Deep Repair Hair Mask:  I have been using this for years and swear by it. I only wash my hair once or twice a week and when I do, I use this mask. I like to shampoo my hair right away, then put this mask in so it can sit the rest of the time I’m in the shower.

BODY

TANNING

St. Tropez Foam – My secret to being tan all year without exposing my skin to harmful rays for long periods of time. I apply once a week and it looks so natural. Just make sure you get all your body parts that’ll be showing.
St. Tropez Mitt – I love this mitt because you can wash it and use it again once it’s fresh and clean. I only use this to apply my self-tanner.
