My generous and sweet bridesmaids came together to throw me a bright lemon and Positano themed bridal shower a few weeks before the wedding! Positano is one of my dream destinations and since we are heading there for our honeymoon, my bridesmaids figured it would be a great theme. I love how everything came together and they all did a lovely job planning every little detail!
One of my maid of honors hosted the shower at her family home and I love how it was a smaller gathering of my Mom, sister and closest girlfriends! Let’s break down the details and how it all came together.
My friend downloaded a digital template off Etsy and made the bridal shower invitation and signage on her computer! I love the blues and the lemon accent, which served as the jumping off point for the rest of the decor. I know nowadays most people prefer digital invitations, but there is something about a paper invitation coming in the mail that’s so special to me. I’ll forever send invitations for big events in the mail.
To make a statement, my girlfriends got these light-up marquee letters and a stunning balloon garland to serve as a backdrop for photos. The bright yellow with hints of blue make me so happy! Plus, who doesn’t love balloons? If you are looking for a way to make something pop for an event, balloons are probably one of the most cost-effective ways to do so!
For the table, the flowers and plates were the stars of the show! Lemon-print plates, bright yellow roses and blue chargers tied the whole theme together. If you are hosting a gathering with more than 10 people, I’d recommend getting dinner plates, utensils and glasses rented. This way you don’t have to worry about purchasing items you may not use again and you can follow a theme if that’s what you want!
One of my favorite aspect of events are florals! We always use Something Pretty Floral in the Dallas area because her work is incredible and the team is always the sweetest. I love the bright roses, ranunculus and pops of white. Since this was an intimate gathering, we didn’t need a ton of florals – just a few centerpieces on the table.
The final piece I want to talk about is the cake! I love how it looks like the invitation and signage. The blues are perfect along with the lemon touches! Plus, I appreciate when a cake not only is beautiful, but tastes great, too! It’s the perfect finishing touch for this Positano themed bridal shower.
