Luxury Jewelry I Own & Recommend

blogger hoang-kim cung's luxury jewelry including Van Cleef & Arpels Vintage Alhambra Pendant Necklace, Cartier Love Bracelet, and Hermes Clic Clac H Bracelet

I believe the best way to make the most of your money and your wardrobe is to focus on investment pieces (like handbags). While I don’t plan on selling any of mine, if I ever did I know I’d be able to make a lot back. For me, it’s about my passion for style, cost-per-use and having something to pass down to my family one day. When it comes to luxury jewelry, I personally like to focus on collecting iconic styles- which is what I’m sharing with you today!

Van Cleef & Arpels Vintage Alhambra Pendant Necklace

This is the most recent addition to my luxury jewelry collection, and it’s quickly become one of my most asked about items! There’s such sentimental meaning to mine, which makes it all the more special. In Vietnamese culture, it’s tradition for the groom’s family to gift the bride a necklace. When Johnny asked me what I wanted, I did some research into a timeless piece I could wear for decades and one day pass down to my future daughter or daughter-in-law. I ended up deciding on Van Cleef & Arpels because I love their story and dedication to quality. Their Alhambra collection is their most recognizable with the four-clover silhouette. I originally wanted the ivory mother-of-pearl vintage necklace, but when Johnny stumbled upon the gold necklace with guilloche texture, I knew it was even more perfect. I love the texture, subtle shine and how it truly goes with everything I wear, whether it be work attire or a black tie gown. My necklace chain comes with two different lengths, so I can easily make it shorter or a little bit longer (this one is a lot longer). I wear it 24/7, including when showering, working out, etc. The only time I’ve taken it off is when I get a massage. I haven’t noticed any difference in the texture or shine. It’s truly a quality piece that’s stunning yet subtle. I look forward to building my VCA collection one day!

Cartier Love Bracelet

The famous Cartier Love Bracelet is absolutely iconic and meant to be worn all the time. I opted for the bracelet instead of the cuff because I’m more low-maintenance and don’t want to have to take it on or off. It’s a subtle piece that can dress up a casual look or really zhush up a cocktail dress. I opted for the yellow gold in the original width. Yes, it gets scratched as that’s inevitable, but that hasn’t stopped me from wearing it as often as I do. You can take your bracelet into Cartier to get cleaned, which is a nice perk.

Hermes Clic Clac H Bracelet

This was one of my first luxury jewelry pieces. I opted for the white and yellow gold because it’s a classic combination and incredibly versatile. I’ve worn it with watches, on its own and with other bracelets too. This bracelet is called the Clic Clac because of the sound it makes against watches or other pieces of jewelry. The fun part is it’s an iconic piece that tends to lead to owning a collection. I have friends who have many different colors and really get into collecting rare ones! Unless you’re looking for something especially bold, I’d recommend going for white, taupe or black for your first purchase here.
