BIG NEWS: I’m a member of the west elm collective!

This is without a doubt, a pinch-me moment. I’m a member of the west elm collective of insiders! The collective is a small group of creators who love sustainable and original design and I couldn’t be more honored to be a part of this. One aspect that feels so surreal is seeing my name and picture on westelm.com!

Let me tell you a little story about west elm: I remember the first time I saw the Austin location while being a student at the University of Texas. I went in, knowing I couldn’t afford anything, and simply fell in love. The pieces have clean lines, a modern touch and is very approachable and livable. I saved and saved and upon graduation, I bought the storage coffee table. It was my first piece of big-girl furniture and that table has been in every single place I’ve called home through three states. I have tons of west elm in our home and when I started to blog full-time I reached out to west elm to collaborate. I never heard back so I kept my head down and kept working hard. A few months ago, I got an email from their team and it made me so emotional.

Sustainable Pieces

One aspect I have always appreciated about west elm is how many of their pieces are made sustainably. Buying fair trade is so important to me and when a huge brand such as west elm aligns with the same values, it’s a gamechanger. west elm has quality pieces at approachable prices so you. know they will last. Y’all know I do not like to buy “placeholder” pieces, I would rather budget and get what I really want. I don’t mind being patient and waiting a while to get my dream piece.

My West Elm Picks

I love so many pieces at west elm and now you can shop all of my favorites in one place! I have my own page on westelm.com and will be updating it every month or so with new pieces I love. It can be overwhelming when you’re on a retailer’s website with so many choices. I hope curating my picks in one place can help you shop and find the best pieces for your home! I know what a difference one piece can make so I have a variety of items from furniture to home decor!

west elm in our bedroom

Our bedroom has a ton of west elm pieces! I’ve slowly accumulated these over the past few years. I love how throughout the years, these pieces still look like new. It’s a testament to the quality of the items and how they will last.

Channel Headboard

I’ve always wanted a velvet headboard and this one is the headboard of my dreams! I love the vertical lines and how they are thicker than a traditional channel style. We have the Dove Gray color and it’s stunning in person! A bit of a chameleon, it can lean warmer, cooler and darker or lighter depending on surroundings. We have it paired with the Leesa platform bed.

Table Lamps

The black and brass on these lamps sold us. I love the simple, clean look and how they are a bit more on a smaller scale.

Throw Pillows

west elm makes some of my favorite throw pillows! I love their Mongolian fur pillow cover and I have it in a couple of colors. We love texture because white bedding can fall flat. Here’s what’s currently on our bed: cotton eyelash pillow cover, candlewick pillow cover and the chunky knit pillow cover.
