Even though it’s still in the high 90s outside here in Texas, once the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale ends I’m always immediately ready for fall. I think it has something to do with shopping and styling so many cold weather pieces! Unfortunately sometimes the temperature doesn’t cool down until November here, so I do what I can to create the cozy fall aesthetic for myself through our home and my wardrobe.
In case you’re also ready for a change in seasons, I wanted to put together a fun fall shopping checklist for you with many of my favorites!
Vince Marled Funnel Neck Wool Blend Sweater
This was one of the first pieces I picked up while shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and I’m so glad I did. Everything about it leans into the cozy fall aesthetic. The funnel neck is warm without being constricting, while the merino wool blend ensures there’s no itch to it.
Stuart Weitzman Over-the-Knee Boots
I absolutely love these boots for fall and winter! It’s a staple of mine in my closet, because I can throw them on with either leggings or skinny jeans and a sweater or cardigan for a chic look.
Abercrombie & Fitch High Rise Skinny Jean
I know a lot of people have let go of skinny jeans, but not me! Especially for fall. They’re essential for boots! This medium wash is the perfect in-between.
Voluspa Spiced Pumpkin Latte Glass Candle
Candles have a way of transforming whatever space you’re in (see more of my favorites here), and this spiced pumpkin one from Voluspa really channels the cozy fall aesthetic. A lot of pumpkin scents are too sweet or too spicy, but this one isn’t at all.
YIHANG Black Taper Candles
It’s the little details that make a space cozy, and one incredibly inexpensive way to do so is to switch the color of your taper candles. I love the idea of incorporating something moodier and more modern like black.
USB Candle Lighter
Every candle needs a lighter! I’m all for anything that makes my life easier, and having a rechargeable lighter versus one that runs out and needs to be repurchased does exactly that. Plus, I want everything in our house to be as beautiful as possible, and this one is certainly more attractive than the ones you buy at the grocery store.
Red Artificial Maple Leave Branch
Love having maple leave fall foliage in our home! Bring autumn and fall to Texas, early! Love the artificial, because it can be used over and over. The quality is amazing!
Ceramic Pumpkins
You can’t accomplish the cozy fall aesthetic without pumpkins! I love a simple look with the white, because it matches well in any room. Looks stunning in the home and brings out the cozy fall vibes!
Pura Diffuser Smart Fragrance Diffuser Starter Kit
As I mentioned before, I’m a big believer in the ability of scent to make a space, and diffusing is another way to accomplish that. The fragrance vials smell absolutely divine, plus the smart diffuser allows you to control the scent intensity and type, brightness, and timing from your phone.
J.Crew Parke Blazer
Admittedly, on their own blazers don’t typically have a cozy fall aesthetic. In my opinion though, it’s all about how you style them. Between the warm camel color and the wool flannel fabric of my favorite, all it takes is a great sweater, jeans and tall boots. I also think it’s an example of how you can translate coziness into workwear!
Afloral Cream Magnolia Fake Flower Branch
Magnolia blooms in the spring, but I can’t help but think it’d be at home in the fall too. Faux flowers can go wrong very quickly, but when done right, it allows you to enjoy a stunning arrangement all season. Plus, the cream of the blooms combined with the darker stems and leaves create the perfect cozy fall aesthetic palette!
Arhaus Woven Hide Lumbar Pillow Cover
I like to decorate with subtle, sophisticated nods to the current season. Naturally I’m a fan of anything from Arhaus, but this piece in particular stands out because of the one-of-a-kind woven hides. The texture is also amazing and makes something so elevated feel very homey.
