3 Cozy Winter Essentials for a Relaxing Time

This post is in collaboration with Summersalt. All opinions are my own.

When it comes to winter, I live for soft and cozy fabrics. In fact, I just want every aspect of my life to be cozy. I’m excited to share 3 cozy winter essentials for a relaxing time. We are all so caught up with work, being busy and running around we can forget to pause and take some time for ourselves. As someone who constantly wants to help others and give to others, I’m guilty of this. Time to change! Let’s clear a few hours one night (or afternoon) and spend it on us.

1. Soft Loungewear

Cashmere is without a doubt my favorite and I’m excited to partner with Summersalt to share their cashmere blend pieces. Summersalt uses recycled materials to create their fabrics and I appreciate their approach to sustainability. Cashmere is one of the softest and warmest fabrics out there, which makes it my favorite loungewear for winter. It just feels luxurious. Summersalt was kind enough to offer me a discount for you, so use code HKCUNG10 to get $10 off your order.

Many cashmere sweaters can look pretty basic (although there really isn’t anything wrong with that). Summersalt really kicks things up a notch by making their cashmere blend sweaters unique. I love how the fabric has both a horizontal and vertical knit on this ultra cozy sweater. It comes in a few colors and I shared it in white here. Plus, their cashmere is cruelty-free.

I’m wearing size XS and the length is perfect. It covers my bum and has a slightly loose fit that isn’t too oversized. It skims my body and is great whether you’re pairing with their high-rise leggings or your own jeans. I can easily see it dressed up with over-the-knee boots and nice coat or just kick back with sneakers. I’m linking some of my other favorites below:

2. Make a Warm Beverage + Take Deep Breaths

Johnny and I are partial to coffee and tea, but we love hot chocolate, too! Ever since we got our Nespresso, we’ve been really enjoying our coffee each morning. I’ll admit, we do sneak a decaf cup at night, too. While your coffee is brewing or water is boiling, close your eyes and take some deep breaths. I find in moments where I feel so much stress, 10 slow deep breaths is all it takes to feel like things will be okay.

3. Read A Book

I grew up being a bookworm and reading always relaxes me. I totally get how a movie can take you to another place and help you escape, but I’ve found I’m partial to reading. Johnny and I have read quite a few books this year we love and I hope this inspires you to pick up a book. One of my favorite things about reading is how it can help you grow as a person and in turn, help the people around you as well.
