I’ve always been a curious person and this is what ultimately led me to essentially being an info junkie. I love reading, absorbing information and in times such as these, I am constantly reading about what’s happening, researching and trying to learn more. Millions of people are being affected by Covid-19. Every day, Johnny and I read about how a company is laying off more employees as they try their best to survive, small businesses fearful they will never get to open again, families devastated by lack of income… the list is endless.

In this post, I want to share two simple ways you can help those in need. Rather than give you a long list of organizations, I am choosing to simplify my suggestions to those near to my heart and for companies, I personally know. If you too are hurting during this time, you don’t need to do a thing. But if you can help, know your kindness has a ripple effect and will be felt.

KENDRA SCOTT GIVES BACK

Y’all know how I’m a huge Kendra Scott fan. Of course, I’m a fan because the jewelry is stunning but I love the company, the founder and its mission. Kendra Scott is an extremely philanthropic brand and I’m very excited to partner with them for the next two days to give you a way to give back! Until Thursday, March 26 at 11:59 CST, 20% of all purchases using my code GIVEBACK6815 will be donated to Feeding America in Dallas. Not only will you get a beautiful new piece of jewelry or home decor, but you’ll be helping families in need. Those who are no longer able to put food on the table because they have lost their jobs.

I have so many pieces I love from Kendra Scott, but here are some of my favorites.

This jewelry organizer is a bit pricey but worth every single penny. I cannot believe I went so long without it. Not only does it keep all of my jewelry dust-free, but organized and visible. At a quick glance, I’m able to see exactly what I have and it’s organized. It makes actually wearing the jewelry I have easier because I can see everything. Plus, it’s an absolutely beautiful organizer and so well made. I love the acrylic and brass hardware.

HEARTWATER – BUY ONE, DONATE ONE

Our best friends Ylianna and Michael Dadashi founded a water company called HEARTWATER, based in Austin. They are incredible people working in addiction recovery and sober-living. HeartWater is a passion project they have heavily invested in because they believe in providing water to others in a sustainable way but also allowing people to share their story. It’s a movement to pour your heart out while also drinking pure Austin rainwater.

To help families affected by Covid-19 they are doing a buy one, give one sale. Every time someone buys a case of Heartwater, they will donate a case to children and families in need. This is especially important right now as basic essentials, such as water, are low in supply. You can use my promo code, HKCUNG, to get 15% off and free shipping. I would truly love it if you can help this small business with their goal of helping those in need.
