Growing up in a family of immigrants and the daughter of a South Vietnamese Army Lieutenant, I have always had a soft spot for veterans. For the past two years, I’ve held annual charity concerts to raise money for South Vietnamese veterans living in communist Vietnam and for more than a decade, my family has personally given our own money to the men who served us to the best of their abilities. I am so so thankful for every single veteran and man and woman serving in the military, who are fighting for our freedom.
After all, freedom is never free.
