Table Setting: Anthropologie dinner plates, bowls and glasses (old sale find)
west elm accent bowls and mini bowls, Reiko Kaneko mugs, Target flower pitcher
Hello Everyone!
I am so excited to share this post with y’all! As you may know, I recently moved to Norfolk, Virginia for a new reporter position. My apartment is quite small, only 557 sqft, but the kitchen is absolutely beautiful! Jonathan and I decided we were going to have brunch at home one morning and I thought it would be the perfect chance to show my table setting for special occasions. I am still working on building my home goods, including tableware, flatware and glassware. Since it’s usually just me, I only buy two of what I need.
I am in love with this Ceres Anthropologie dinner collection. Made of glazed earthenware, it is dishwasher and microwave safe, which is so functional. The embossed trim is stunning and so unique, pictures don’t do it justice! The only thing I’ve noticed is food can get stuck in the trim, so I would take care to either wash the set as soon as you’re finished eating (what I do) or be sure to soak them. I got the dinner plate and the soup bowl for now, which I use for pasta and rice dishes. It’s the perfect portion size for me and Johnny. I plan on getting the side plates and other pieces later on.
Since the Ceres plates are white, I am accenting this table setting with a pop of color. These printed bowls from west elm caught my eye. I love how they are different on the outside than the inside! Also, I love these bright turquoise dip bowls, which are perfect for all the Vietnamese sauces Johnny and I can’t live without, including fish sauce!
My home is very much still a process, but I am slowly starting to add in pieces I know I’ll keep for years and years to come.
