I’m a big fan of statement earrings. To me, they are the perfect accessory and I’m very rarely caught without a pair of earrings. Earrings draw attention to your face and ultimately your eyes. I love how they can add a pop of color to an outfit, perfectly enhance an elegant look or just be a fun detail. Personally, I put a lot of care and thought into selecting the perfect pair of earrings for a look. It doesn’t matter if it’s a t-shirt and jeans look or something a little more elevated.

Naturally, I believe in quality over quantity. I don’t have super sensitive ears, but I make sure to only wear good quality metal. Plus, it’s better to have a handful of great earrings you can wear over and over that will last. I would rather spend money on a few pairs than have a box full of earrings falling apart I am hesitant to wear again. These are 14k plated gold over brass. When I think of summer, I think of bright colors, fun and texture. That’s one reason why I think these are summer’s must-have earrings. The hot pink is my favorite pair but the blue and white are equally as gorgeous! Yes, the price tag is a little steep at nearly $200. But if you take a look at the craftsmanship, these are worth every single penny! A definite showstopper, tonal shell and acrylic pieces layered on top of each other creates a fun ombre effect. Each abstract petal shape is perfectly cut and I love the elongated shape the earrings create.

Here is the best part and why I think the Kendra Scott Jennifer are summer’s must-have earrings: there is a removable tassel! Yes, you are getting two earrings in one! The bottom inch-and-a-half or so is attached to the top of the earring via a clip. You can take it on and off easily. Plus, you can even use the bottom portion as a charm!

Dimension wise the earrings are a total of 5 inches long and about an inch wide. I love the slight shoulder-dusting feel of the full length and enjoy the fun sassy short version, too. I’m pairing these earrings with a shirtdress from the J.Crew x Liberty collection. It’s such a fun, bold summer look altogether. However, you can definitely wear the shorter version of these earrings with just a t-shirt and jeans. The styling possibilities are endless.

If you have reservations about getting a pair of earrings in a bright color, don’t. You can wear them with all white or black outfits for an easy pop of color. Or play up other colors such as pink earrings with yellow, blue or purple looks. These will be so easy to pair with multiple outfits. However, if you want something more neutral, I highly recommend the Mother of Pearl ivory mix.
