Summer Popsicle :: 3-D Roses & Double-Dipped Skirt

Hello Everyone!
One of my favorite parts of summer is being able to wear really bright and vivid colors. This skirt features two bold colors: fuchsia and coral.  Putting this skirt on in the morning is a big pick-me-up since the colors always make me smile. A great casual piece for warmer weather, I have generally paired this skirt with white or cream tops.

Since the skirt is made of two different colors and materials, I didn’t want to add a third bold color, making the outfit too busy and cut my body into three pieces. However, I still wanted to make a statement and elevate the outfit so it wasn’t too boring. When I come to this dilemma, textured tops are my go-to. Different colored skirt paired with a top with interesting details (pockets, piping, bibs, etc) such as 3-D rosettes in my case, it can really bring an outfit to life and give the eye something to look at.

I kept my accessories in same color family as much as possible. Picking a jewelry in a color not similar to the colors in the wardrobe would clash and make everything appear too busy.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed your visit.
