[outfit_details]Purple Floral Jumpsuit (also in black & red), Platform Heels, White Beaded Earrings c/o
Black Box Bag, Similar Gold Bracelet[/outfit_details]
As a petite woman, I love when clothing pieces make me look taller. This purple floral jumpsuit elongates an incredible amount. Plus, it’s such a statement piece. At times, it actually looks like a maxi dress because of how wide and flowy the legs on this floral jumpsuit are. I’m not going to lie, the legs are extremely wide. However, the smocked top really balances it out. This is such a flattering jumpsuit and I couldn’t recommend it more for summer. The tie straps are adjustable to what you want, which is really nice. Also, the pants have pockets at the hip! Huge win, ha! If you are petite, be warned you may need to get this hemmed. However, I promise you this floral jumpsuit is worth it. I absolutely love the purple and how the white really pops off of it. This jumpsuit also comes in black and red, too.
Since this floral jumpsuit is clearly a statement piece, I wanted everything else to be neutral. These white beaded earrings aren’t small, but because of the neutral color, they are complementary. Plus, they aren’t super distracting since the tie straps add quite a bit of volume to the top of this jumpsuit. To make things fun, I’m using this little black box bag I got at rsTheCon. While I love a pop of color, I think having accessories in neutral colors is great because you can pair them with anything and any color. That way you get the most use out of them.
I want to end this blog post with an encouraging message. If there is a trend you want to try, please try it! If it doesn’t work for you, that’s okay. You can take it off and return it. Please don’t let a bad experience or a piece of clothing that didn’t suit YOUR body prevent you from trying something new. We all have different bodies. I am and most likely will always be incredibly petite. There are so many times I wish I was taller (constantly getting things hemmed is expensive y’all) but that’s just how I am. I always, always change clothes to fit me. If something doesn’t look right, I grab and pull at it and ask for a tailor. I never thought something was wrong with me. I hope you take this into consideration when you’re trying new trends and seeing fun pieces moving forward!
