We spend a lot of time in our home and it’s very neutral, so I like to add elevated seasonal touches that get us in the spirit. Now that it’s time to get into summer decorating, I wanted to round up my favorites this year so you can join in with your own home too!
Afloral Peonies & Eucalyptus
Early summer is synonymous with peony season for me! I’m in love with how fluffy and lush they are. Buying fresh bundles can add up quickly though, which is why I’m obsessed with these stems from Afloral. With faux flowers, it’s so important to do your due diligence to make sure they look realistic and I really think Afloral’s do. Eucalyptus is another favorite of mine because it’s so versatile. These bundles are naturally preserved, so they do maintain a slight eucalyptus scent.
Serena & Lily Dipped Vase
This will forever be my vase of choice. It’s modern yet timeless and makes any arrangement look stunning. When it comes to summer decorating, I’d add the peonies or eucalyptus from Afloral, or fresh blooms like hydrangeas or garden roses.
Hotel Lobby Spa Candle
This is one of my favorite candle brands because the scents are truly fragrant and luxurious. Notes like eucalyptus and jasmine in this candle completely transport me to a high-end beach resort’s spa.
ChappyWrap Herringbone Blanket
This is the softest blanket I’ve ever come across. Their cotton blend is super plush without being heavy and the way they finish their blankets for peak softness is so unique. Each one is truly made to last, but also machine washable! In the summer I like to reach for this when the air conditioning is just a touch too cold for my taste but it’s perfect all year.
Studio McGee Do Good Be Good Doormat
While this doormat isn’t exactly seasonal, I do love to switch things up. We have friends and family over a lot, so giving them something new to look at as they walk in is fun for me! Having something so simple yet inspirational at the front of our house feels very right for us, and the price is fantastic as well.
Juliska Flower Spoons
Life is too short to not enjoy pretty things! I would much rather use our “special” pieces regularly than save them for a certain occasion. These spoons are so, so beautiful and have great detail to them. They’ve added such a nice touch to my morning iced coffee!
Ralph Lauren Garden Vine Pitcher
Another example of using beautiful things every day! As you can see I have a soft spot for blue floral patterns. Pitchers are actually incredibly versatile and one of my favorite summer decorating tips. Of course they’re fantastic for entertaining but I also like styling it on a shelf or using it as a vase as well.
Hearth & Hand Knotted Fringe Throw Blanket
I love summer whites! They’re such a refreshing pop. This throw has a touch of warmth to it that I like for our space. It also makes the blanket look a little more high end compared to a brighter white.
Arhaus Woven Lumbar & Washed Velvet Square Pillow Covers
While these may not be the first thing you think of when it comes to summer decorating, I actually love their elevated, masculine outdoors-in-Texas look. The woven hide is stunning with one-of-a-kind character and the washed velvet has a well-worn softness to it.
West Elm Acrylic & Metal Standing Frames
One of the easiest ways to transition to summer decorating is by switching out pictures. With these acrylic frames, all you have to do is slip a new photo between the front and back! Super simple. A beautiful sunset or favorite vacation memory will definitely get you in the summer mood.
