Since moving to Coastal Virginia, I usually go toward the Oceanfront if I’m looking to get some beach time. However, I recently discovered East Beach in Norfolk and absolutely love it! It’s quiet, quaint and the waves are gentle. Plus, there are beautiful rocks and the sand is super soft. It’s actually a waterfront community with beautiful traditional-style homes. However, don’t let that scare you, the beach is still a public space, so you’re welcome to hang out! I love how it’s the perfect location where the Chesapeake Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean.
