This post is in collaboration with Nordstrom. All opinions are my own.
Hey y’all! I am so excited about this post. Growing up Vietnamese-American, my family always celebrated T?t, Lunar New Year! This year, it falls on February 12, which is later than usual! I’ve noticed in the past few years, more mainstream companies have started putting up Lunar New Year decorations. I’ll be sharing some of Nordstrom’s Lunar New Year beauty products in this post! I ordered two of them and couldn’t be happier with the packaging and quality.
MAC Highlighter
As you know, I have quite the makeup collection, so I’m picky when it comes to what I’m purchasing. I haven’t used highlighters in a while because some of them just look a bit too metallic on. I’ll admit: the Lunar New Year packaging and imprint of the fish got me to add to cart. However, upon trying it out, I couldn’t be happier! This highlighter really gives a beautiful glow, but doesn’t look too “wet” or metallic. It’s an elevated, elegant look.
I like to apply highlighter after blush and I’ve been loving this Charlotte Tilbury one the past few weeks. I use a tapered brush to apply any cheek products and I recommend always starting at the hairline and working your way forward.
Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick
I’ve been a fan of Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks for as long as I can remember. She has so many gorgeous shades. Plus, her formula is long-lasting and moisturizing. If I recall, she is one of the first to do a Lunar New Year beauty collection at Nordstrom. She has a couple of different products available from lipsticks to skincare.
I’ve been looking to branch out of my nude lipstick routine lately and wanted something a little more vibrant. Especially with Lunar New Year coming up, I’ll need something to contend with my bright red Ao Dai! The shade Sweet Blossom is a beauty red with nude undertones. It’s neutral, but still makes a statement.
There are a couple of other brands with Lunar New Year beauty collections at Nordstrom, too! I’ll leave them below. It’s the Year of the Ox, so I wish you strength, prosperity, health and joy.
