Chicwish Mint Green Cardigan c/o, Heather Gray Sweater, Charcoal Gray Leggings
Gray Over-the-Knee-Boots (similar), Lenni Gold Feather Earrings c/o[/outfit_detail]
Given that temperatures are dropping in the western hemisphere and winter is starting to creep up, I want to share how to style a mint green cardigan for fall and winter. Plus, Norfolk just had the Grand Illumination Parade, trust me it’s a really big and bright deal, so that means Christmas is right around the corner! Mint green is traditionally more of a spring and summer color. I remember back in 2012, pining for all things mint, whether it was a good blouse or pair of mint gingham pants (holy crap, what a throwback to an embarrassing, younger version of me!). Mint is still a great color to wear but I can understand the challenges of styling it for fall and winter.
I’m loving this mint green cardigan from Chicwish. It’s super soft, stretchy and feels like a dream. Plus, I love the longer hemline, which makes this piece elegant and of course, chic. For those of you who are petite, fear not, I’m 5’3 and this isn’t too long on me. I’m wearing size small/medium for reference. This particular mint green cardigan has a drop shoulder silhouette, which gives it more of a casual vibe. However, you can definitely still throw it over a sharp dress and wear it to work. This 100 percent acrylic cardigan is warm and the perfect top layer this cold-weather season. One aspect I really enjoy is the slight split seam at the bottom of the cardigan on the sides. It adds a modern touch.
Y’all know I love outfits with a pop of color and that’s exactly what I’m doing here. Gray is one of my favorite colors to play with during fall and winter. To keep this outfit from getting too boring, I’m using different shades of gray to give it some visual texture. This gray sweater is a holy grail purchase from January and I’ve worn it countless times already. Yet, it doesn’t show any signs of wear. If you’ve been following me on Instagram for a while, you may remember I wore this sweater quite a bit when Johnny and I went to the Olympics. I just love the textures of the mint green cardigan on top of this gray sweater. To top off this look, I’m using these feather statement earrings to really make it pop.
