Happy Monday Everyone!
I hope you had a fantastic weekend. Since getting my Nike Air Max Thea’s in Carbon Green, I have had an obsession with the color green, particularly olive shades. Since I’m still building my professional wardrobe, I’m looking for dresses I can wear to work, then switch up accessories when I meet up with friends after. The cut on this dress is very flattering. The envelope hem is a nice touch and adds something unique. What I liked most about this olive dress is it’s fitted and hugs your curves, but not bodycon like at all, so it’s very office appropriate. I also liked the texture of the dress, which is a nice touch and different from the typical fabric. For work, I usually stick with closed-toe shoes, especially in a conservative environment. Since blush is so on trend right now, I matched my favorite spring coat with suede heels. This jacket is back in stock in blush, so for those of you who were interested, now is the time! It’s also available in a light gray and navy.
After work, I add accessories with sparkle, just like I did previously here with a blush dress, another time I took a dress from day to night. This necklace was a great find at TJ Maxx, but I deemed it “too much” for work so I wear it on evenings and weekends. I also swapped out my pumps for caged heels. These have been my go-to when I wear darker shades. The nubuck leather is so soft and feels like it’s hugging my feet. You may know I always add a gel insert in my shoes, so these are ultra comfortable and last hours before I feel any extra pressure in the ball of my foot.
