Best-Selling J.Crew Coats and What You Need To Know

J.Crew is one of my favorite places to get coats for fall and winter. My very first J.Crew coat was a purchase from 2009. It’s still with me today and looking fabulous. One reason J.Crew coats are such best-sellers is the quality for the price. They are made from incredible wool that’s warm without being overly bulky, not itchy and look fantastic. This weekend, J.Crew’s coats are on major sale for 50 percent off with code BUNDLEUP. There’s still two more months of winter, so if you haven’t snapped up one of the best-selling J.Crew coats, now is the time to do it! I know there are so many different styles and it can be overwhelming picking the one that’s right for you. Over the past decade, I’ve amassed quite the collection, so I’ll break down each one so you can buy the one you need.

SIZE: Petite 00 or 0 depending on the fit you prefer. Get your size for a true fit, or size up one to fit lots of layers underneath.
REVIEW: The very first J.Crew coat I purchased and the silhouette I have the most colors in! This coat is a classic style perfect for all occasions. Whether you’re heading to the office, running errands on the weekend in gym clothes or going to a Black Tie event, this coat will be perfect. This coat is the most feminine and preppy out of the styles because of its A-Line shape. The wool lady coat is also one of the coats boasting the longest length, so it’s great to wear over dresses since the hem won’t stick out.

Pink cocoon coat at Bryant Park ice rink in New York City

SIZE: Petite 00
REVIEW: Easily a best-selling J.Crew coat by far. The cocoon coat is chic, fits perfectly over sweaters, work blazers and casual outfits. First up, this coat has an oversized fit. If you are extremely petite, I would not recommend this coat unless you are okay with it looking very oversized. This coat is pretty similar to its sister, the Lodge. However, the cocoon is roomy in the chest and arm area. One aspect I love about the wool cocoon coat is how the zipper goes all the way up so the cold and wind are really blocked out. I prefer to keep my neck covered in the winter.
PRICE: Select colors on sale for $319, others on sale for $183

SIZE: Petite 00/0, slim and straight silhouette and can be a little tight in the arm area. Buy your size for a snug fit, size up one for a little wiggle room.
REVIEW: A fantastic cozy wool coat with ribbed trim at the neck and cuffs. This coat has that perfect slim and fitted look but is incredibly warm! It has a quilted super-fill lining so you’re sure to stay toasty regardless of the weather. This is the sister coat to the best-selling cocoon coat above but with a slimmer fit. If you are petite, I highly recommend this coat as it won’t be as overwhelming as the cocoon! Plus, it’s perfect for wearing to work and casually. You won’t regret this choice! Easily one of my favorite fall and winter must-haves.

J.Crew chateau puffer with Primaloft on petite blogger Hoang-Kim

SIZE: XXS – fits true to size and is roomy enough for you to layer over other thick sweaters.
REVIEW: Incredibly warm right off the bat and water-resistant. Plus, it’s made of eco-friendly Primaloft! I really love the fit and feel of this. Perfect for ski trips or just staying cozy and warm wherever you are. I’d break this out for the 10-35 degree temperatures because of how warm it is! The pockets are very roomy and the hood is fleece-lined.
