One of the best parts of living in Coastal Virginia is being so close to the beach. It truly makes me feel so grateful and inspires me each time I’m there. Summer is a time for adventure, exploring and trying new things. Today, I’m partnering with DSW to share my favorite sandals for summer and to talk to about where I hope they’ll take me. Before moving to Coastal Virginia, I didn’t really care for sandals, which is crazy to me! Between traveling, heading to the beach or just popping out of my apartment to pick up food, I prioritize comfort. That’s why these DSW sandals are my favorite sandals for summer. They’re so comfortable because unlike other sandals, they have a little bit of arch support. I appreciate how I can just slide them on and be ready to go. During summer, I want to soak up the beautiful weather, which means I don’t want to spend time putting on shoes before going outside!
One aspect I love about these sandals is the colors. The cognac looks incredible with a tan and the white just makes you look even tanner! That’s always such a plus. Since the colors are neutral, you can wear these sandals with absolutely everything. That’s why these are my favorite sandals for summer. Whether your bikini is bright red, your casual outfit for lunch is blue or that cute eyelet dress for date night is white, these sandals will look great paired with it. However, these sandals also come in five other colors, too! This floral two-piece set is so fun and flirty. I love it for beach weekends because of how vibrant it is. Plus, as with all sets, you can mix and match the pieces and wear them again. If you love this floral pattern, it’s also available in different cuts, including dresses and a kimono, too.
Fit wise, I find these are a little small. I’m wearing size 6 and my usual size is 5.5.I have a little bit of room after my heel on the shoe, which is how I prefer my sandals. However, one of my readers mentioned she had to size down to get a good fit for hers. Since these are slides, they aren’t super tight on me so they’re great for walking. Whenever I wear these for walks on the beach, I’m always pleasantly surprised how they stay on and don’t feel like they’re about to come off.
I don’t have too many vacation days left, but this summer, I plan on exploring more of the area nearby Coastal Virginia. Richmond is definitely on my list. I would also love to make another trip to D.C. and try to get to the Outer Banks again. We’ll see what’s in store for me and Johnny this summer!
