Happy Wednesday Everyone!
Over the weekend, Johnny and I traveled to Austin to celebrate our good friends’ wedding. It was amazing to be back in our old city, too! Johnny and I both graduated from the University of Texas, so Austin holds plenty of memories for us. Of course, Austin isn’t exactly feeling like Fall. Hence, I packed plenty of leather, burgundy and navy for us to still get in the fall spirit. However, I made sure to keep things light so we wouldn’t get too hot since Austin is known for its heat.

First of all, I love wearing leather during fall. I added this pleated leather skirt from J.Crew to my collection. It also comes in a beautiful burgundy color as well, but I went with black. While this can be considered a trendy piece, I think of it as a classic item. You can pair anything with a pleated leather skirt in the same way you would with a good pair of jeans. Together with a chambray shirt and heels, it’s a great casual look. Not to mention, you can also pair it with a tee and sneakers or style it with a silk top and over-the-knee boots for a completely different look. It’s a versatile item you can wear for multiple seasons, too!

Since Johnny trusts me with his wardrobe, I make all executive purchasing decisions. I ordered him two pairs of Bonobos chinos in both khaki and navy on a whim. As a matter of fact, Johnny loves them! He says they’re extremely comfortable and fit him well. Not to mention, they are probably low maintenance, which is great for Johnny. In addition to new pants, Johnny recently got new sneakers. Eventually, these navy New Balance sneakers landed in Johnny’s closet after lots of research. They are comfortable and I love the look. As a result, they’ll be a great shoe to add to Johnny’s rotation because he doesn’t wear the same shoe every day.
