Fall is just around the corner and since Johnny and I work from home, we always get up and get dressed, even if we’re the only people who see each other. I find this makes us much more confident, productive and capable. For years, I’ve been buying all of Johnny’s clothes or picking out what is in his closet. He gets the luxury of choosing from curated pieces and throwing on whatever he’s feeling that day. When doing this, I like to set him up for success. Almost everything can be mixed and matched for a foolproof outfit he can feel confident in.

The only downside is sometimes we end up unintentionally matching, ha! Good thing since we’re engaged, we’ve agreed it’s okay to match forever. Abercrombie has really stepped up their pieces and elevated its collection. Their clothing is affordable and they have classic pieces you can reach for year after year. I wanted to share a fall outfit for his & hers you can wear casually or for fall photos if you’re getting those taken.

Plaid Shirts

I feel like you cannot go wrong with plaid shirts for fall. They are easy, comfortable and versatile. Abercrombie has a variety available in different colors and weights. I love plaid or flannel shirts for a fall outfit for his & hers.

I love this flannel plaid shirt in blue because it’s a little different from the traditional red, which I like to reserve for November and December if possible. My shirt is soft, easy to tuck into high-waisted jeans or wear untucked with leggings. I got size XXS and it fits my petite frame perfectly.

Johnny’s flannel button-up is a made of a thicker material than mine, but it’ll be perfect once the temperatures get a little cooler. He’s wearing size large and it fits his athletic build perfectly. He used to be really concerned when I said Abercrombie packages were coming. However, now that he knows they can fit his athletic build (large quads, too!) he loves them!
