I hope you had a lovely weekend. Johnny is in town and the weather was absolutely gorgeous! We had lots of fun exploring the area and trying new foods.
You all know I’ve been romper obsessed and I just added another to my collection! I just love off-the-shoulder anything right now. When I saw this periwinkle one, I knew it was meant to be. You may remember, periwinkle has a soft spot in my heart (check this blog post) and this coastal area. I love when off-the-shoulder tops and dresses have ruffle trim since it makes the look more flowy and effortless. One of the reasons this particular romper stood out to me was the crochet detailing. You can also add a belt to this romper, either a camel or navy colored one would work great, if you don’t want the cinched waist to show.
A couple weeks ago, I purchased these lace-up block heels. I deliberated for a long time about keeping them since I was afraid I couldn’t wear them to work. However, I’ve worn them to work multiple times and find myself reaching for them constantly on the weekends. I love the block heel since I don’t have to worry about falling into sidewalk cracks or small gaps. To me, these are not the comfiest of heels, but perhaps that’s because I have yet to put gel inserts in them. The heels have little gold studs on them, which I thought was very cute. Be careful not to tie the leather strings too tightly or you’ll feel very restricted. I like to pull the part covering my foot decently tight and tie it loosely around my ankle.
