Red Dress, Casadei heels (similar), Kendra Scott earrings, Hermes bracelet and MAC lips
Hello Everyone! If these photos look familiar it’s because Johnny and I originally did this shoot in 2015. I JUST found out I never hit publish on this blog post. Yeah, I never envisioned that happening to me. Especially since I am in love with these photos and this red ruffle dress. Johnny and I have been stepping out in style for seven years together now. We often get questions about whether it is too tacky to match when you are going to functions. So I today I am sharing my thoughts on coordinating your outfits with your date.
I say go for it! If you have the chance to match, I say it not only makes you two look cohesive but also says you put time and effort into choosing your wardrobe. If matching isn’t for you, then I would suggest complimentary colors. A pink dress would look lovely with a red tie or a spring green, purple pairs well with gray and blues, etc. Just be sure you two aren’t wearing any clashing colors. For example, I can’t imagine a world where purple goes with orange. Stick to that you should look dashing no matter where you go. Here it worked out Jonathan had a deep red paisley tie which worked extremely well with my ruffle sheath.
During this trip to D.C., Johnny and I packed a little fancy for a variety of functions. Johnny had a deep red paisley tie, which worked extremely well with my ruffle dress. My dress was a solid color with va va voom so it played well when his tie had a print. If you have the opportunity to lay your outfits out together and see what they look like, that’s your best option. But remember, don’t forget to have fun and celebrate the bride and groom on their very special day!
