Happy Monday Everyone!
I hope you had a lovely Valentine’s Day weekend. Jonathan and I were apart again, but we spent some time together virtually. As our relationship progresses, we try not to make a big deal out of Valentine’s Day. I think doing something nice on a day you’re “supposed” to doesn’t feel exactly right. Jonathan is great at doing things “just because” and that’s why I love him. 😉
When the winter temperatures get mild, I love wearing my sweater poncho. Before this, I never thought I would wear a poncho myself, but I loved how this had sleeves! I felt like it was a great hybrid between a sweater and a poncho. I’ve gotten lots of compliments when I wear this piece since the sleeves are so unique to a poncho. It’s uber cozy and warm. Plus, I love layering mine. I either wear it with a cashmere shell underneath or layering collared shirts underneath, opting for this polka dot one this time around. I can easily see small gingham or plaid going great underneath this gray knit too. Another thing with this sweater poncho is it does fit well into jackets. I’ve worn this with my Burberry duffle coat and the sleeves surprisingly didn’t bunch up too much and I felt comfortable.
We’ve had some small bouts of warm weather, so I’m itching for spring! I went with my favorite white jeans and gray over-the-knee boots for a lighter touch. I’m praying the worst of our winter chills are over, but you never know!
