How is 2018 treating you so far? I hope things are off to a great start. Before jumping into today’s post, I want to say thank you to all of you who read Monday’s post and reached out to me. The support from y’all is truly incredible and I’m glad to see I’m truly not alone. It pains me to hear some of you are also going through something similar. I know just how heartbreaking it can be. I plan on writing a more detailed post on traumatic brain injuries soon and talking specifically about my Dad’s journey. Every single day is different. Mornings can be great and afternoons can be bad, or vice versa. However, there is strength and gratitude to be found, even in the saddest of times. Reading your messages and comments are proof of that. I’m beyond sleep deprivation at this point, but I wouldn’t change time with my Dad for anything else in the world.
It’s no surprise this blush crushed velvet mini skirt is a piece I’m restyling over and over again. A flirty silhouette with a luxurious fabric, this skirt is perfect with sweaters during winter and blouses during spring. I love the finished waistband and hidden back zipper because you don’t have to worry about “blousing” sweaters or tops over it. However, I think this is a cute look if you have a chunky sweater. I’m pairing it with a cream sweater here, which matches with my over-the-knee boots. Previously, I styled this skirt in a more monochromatic look with a pink sweater. There are so many options when it comes to this skirt. Plus, I love how it perfectly matches my Saigon Tassel Earrings.
