This post is in collaboration with Awake Beauty. All opinions are my own.
Lip products are some of my favorites in the beauty space. It’s no surprise I love a good lip liner and liquid lipstick combination but at the end of the day it can leave my lips dry and sometimes a little flakey. The best way to combat this and make sure my lips and fresh and ready for the next day is to use a lip mask. I have quite the collection and recently got to try some from Awake Beauty, which I have fallen in love with. All of their products are cruelty-free and vegan, which I really appreciate. Not all of my beauty products are clean, but I make an effort to search for and use great products aligning with my beliefs. Awake Beauty is actually tarte’s sister brand and I love how they both are aligned with the same mission.
The two cruelty-free lip masks I got to try are the Daytime Lip Mask and the Lip Therapy Lip Mask.
MOISTURE BALM DAYTIME LIP MASK
The perfect way to keep your lips super soft all day with a subtle hint of color. I’ve been layering this over lip liner and it gives the perfect shade. Many of y’all know I’m a diehard fan of matte lips but sometimes a little moisture and soft lips can make a gal change her mind. I love the sheer red tint and the four-oil blend really keeps your lips soft all day. I apply with my ring finger once I line my lips and fill them in.
The jar is great for tossing into your handbag, no matter how small, or keeping in your desk drawer at work. Plus, the watermelon scent is a perk.
LIP THERAPY LIP MASK
The heavy-duty lip mask you whip out so you can with super soft lips. Trust me, do a scrub, slather this on and your lips will be super hydrated come morning. I prefer using this one at night because it’s a slightly thicker formula and there isn’t as much of a color payoff. Both of these are cruelty-free lip masks and considered clean beauty. They are formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate or gluten. Aka, things you can’t really pronounce.
If you are looking for other cruelty-free and vegan beauty products to try, I recommend checking out the other products Awake Beauty offers. I haven’t tried these myself, but based on online reviews from others, they look like good hits!
I recently added a few new pieces into our bathroom! I brought in this dipped vase and faux silk peonies from the dining nook to add a pop of color. We did get some new towels from Weezie. I love the black piping on these towels and customized them to say his and hers. Plus, I really appreciate how they have a hook for easy hanging and so you don’t damage the towel.
