Labor Day is a week away, which means fall’s arrival is on the way! I absolutely love summer and I’m sad to see it go. However, there are some key pieces I love to rely on to transition into fall. This striped transition sweater is the perfect way to ease into fall. The color block stripes are a fun trend from summer. Plus, you can tuck this sweater into shorts for cooler summer nights. I can easily see myself throwing this over a swimsuit after watching a sunset at the beach. Or you can wear it when you’re in chilly restaurants or grocery stores when you’re running errands. I’m wearing a size US 2, which fits like a size 0-2. This sweater is meant to fit a little boxy and oversized. It’s also perfect for layering as I like to wear an extra cashmere layer underneath to stay extra warm when it’s cold.
When fall or winter rolls around, a pair of distressed jeans is perfect to go with this transition sweater. These jeans are from the Nordstrom sale earlier this year and fit like a glove. They are incredibly stretchy and so comfortable to wear. Plus, they are very flattering on. The distressing is very well done, which is why every other year I love to buy a pair. I love tucking sweaters into jeans to give them a little more shape. This striped transition sweater is no exception. A little tuck really makes the outfit chic. To finish off the look for fall these d’Orsay flats. They really elongate the lines of your legs and are so versatile. I’ve worn them with dresses, skirts and shorts and they look great each time.
