The foundation of my style may be classic and feminine, but I love trying new trends! I am loving this striped overlay romper because it has the feel of a maxi dress. However, it also has the fun factor of a romper. Plus, with the classic stripes, I couldn’t resist! Right now, I am seeing more and more overlay rompers, so it’s definitely a must-try trend!

This particular overlay romper has a plunging neckline, which is a little out of my comfort zone for regular wear. Of course, my Miss USA gown boasted a plunging neckline, but that’s a bit different. However, it is said those with a smaller chest can get away with wearing more revealing cuts. This overlay romper was surprisingly very comfortable to wear. Also, I’m wearing a stick-on bra without connecting the fastener. Also, I rotated the actual bra a bit so it wouldn’t show.

While I am petite, this overlay romper did not require a hem job. My current favorite suede heels prop me up just enough. I’m 5’3, so if you are shorter, I would recommend heels that are 4 inches or taller or hemming. Of course, if you’re taller, lower heels. If you are vertically blessed and can wear flats, these would look incredible with lace-up sandals. Since the stripes are such a statement, I am keeping accessories simple.
