Spring Work Wear: Express ruffle tee + crochet skirt (available in three colors) c/o

There is something about spring work wear that puts a little extra pep in my step! I love bringing out pastels and bright colors. When it comes to spring, I love making sure my clothes have pretty details whether it’s texture, beautiful fabric or a stand-out color.

I want to share ways to incorporate winter colors into your outfits. I fell in love with this crochet skirt from Express over the winter. While it is perfect for parties and fun events, it can also be work appropriate as well. The trellis-like crocheted lace lays over a shorter lining (more mini-skirt length). Talk about pretty details! It’s modern and edgy take on the classic high-waisted pencil skirt. The lace is thick and holds up well. What I love about this skirt is how it really elongates my figure while giving me a nice shape. Now, burgundy may be a fall and winter color, but with the right pieces and colors transitions very well into spring. This skirt also comes in black and an amazon green.

Since this skirt is such a statement piece and is on the edgier side, I am keeping things simple up top. Ruffles are all the rage right now and I love the double ruffle on this super soft tee. This tee is no fuss, yet has a fun, flirty detail. Even though it is a t-shirt I think the double ruffles dress it up and make it office appropriate. Together the crochet skirt and ruffle tee are a great example of spring work wear with some really pretty details. Separately, they would be fun casual or going-out pieces depending on how you style them. The tee also comes in a darker rust color. Style with jeans and sandals for running errands or with a maxi skirt and wedges.
