I hope you had a restful Labor Day weekend. Jonathan and I took a little road-trip down south to Houston to visit my new little “sister” and watch the Miss Texas USA Pageant. It’s always nice to have a little vacation and spend time with great company.

I was very happy to spend the weekend with my little sister Rachel. We took advantage of the beautiful sunny weather to catch up and make future plans to visit each other.

I purchased this skirt off the sale rack from J.Crew two years ago and it’s been a big staple in my wardrobe ever since. Gold is such a classic color and goes well with a variety of different shades. In the summer, I like pairing it with white, but when the weather cools down, gold works great with rich ruby tones, navy, and charcoal gray.

These nude Decollete pumps are the newest member of my shoe family. They were the first Christian Louboutins I wanted, but Nordstrom couldn’t locate a pair in my size when Jonathan and I went to purchase Louboutins on my 21st birthday. I eagerly agreed to get the Simple Pumps, telling myself a lower heel and pink-toned heel would match my wardrobe better. However, all summer, I still lusted after these. I was inextricably happy to find these on Bonanza for a fraction of the retail price!
