The biggest sale of the year kicks off soon! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017!
To help you make the most of the sale and get the items you want in your closet, I’m putting a guide below with the best way you can shop the sale. When the sale drops, I’ll have more posts on the items you’ll need in your closet this fall and winter. I’ll also be updating with available sizing, colors and more. You can shop the sale from this link when the sale is live.

WHEN THE SALE STARTS
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale kicks off for cardholders July 13-20, meaning they get the first pick of sale items. Items sell out quickly, so if you have a Nordstrom credit or debit card, your chances of getting your size are almost guaranteed. If you don’t already have a Nordstrom card, you can sign up here. As with any card, processing takes a few days, so if you want to shop July 13, sign up soon! The sale opens to the public July 21 – August 6.

NEW ITEMS, LOW PRICE FIRST
What’s great about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, is brand new designer items start off at a lower price, then once the sale is over August 6, prices goes back up. I use this time to shop for fall and winter. Stocking up on what I need now and wearing it later in the year when temps cool down. You won’t find designer items including Tory Burch boots and handbags, Michele watches, Hunter Boots, Kendra Scott jewelry, Vince clothing and more at prices like these!

MY STRATEGY
Peek into your closet and see what you need and think of on-trend items you want. Burgundy will be on trend this fall, so I know I’ll be looking to add something in the rich shade into my collection. Do you need a new winter coat, heels for work, a go-to handbag or boots? The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017 is the time to grab those items. Compile a list of items you need and shop for those items first. Once you’ve checked out and paid for those sale items online, you can go back and look for items you want next. The best selling items at last year’s sales were purses, jewelry, dresses, watches, skirts and outerwear in that order. But from experience, I’ve seen Tory Burch boots, Kate Spade bags, and Kendra Scott jewelry sells out fast.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Catalog has been released, so flip through and see what you like. Write down item numbers or style names for items you like, so you can punch them in the search bar once the sale drops.
